anyone who says this is much better than the original is plain idiotic and deserves a baseball bat in the head. Arnel is good, a very good replacement for Steve Perry,... but still not Steve Perry. Arnel can't even be considered like a Brian Johnson to Bon Scott as Arnel copies Steve Perry. good, but lets be honest and give due respect to Steve Perry, whose singing style Arnel COPIES to almost perfection.

@NoSteveNoPoint ..... well, I guess Oprah, Ellen Degeneres agrees with me that Arnel copies Steve Perry almost to perefection. Again, I said "ALMOST" to perfection. I believe that's what the members of the band itself said after hearing him at the audition. Again, it still doesn't make Arnel even close to being as good as Steve Perry and that is my response to those who have the nerve to say Arnel is BETTER than Steve Perry. @JakeJacquol Oprah and Ellan are Morons. ANYONE who knows Steve's voice, knows Arnel sounds nothing like him. They hear the first two syllables of Arnels voice, and say, WOW, sounds like Perry. However, as you know, it doesn't take but about two MORE words to hear that accent and mispronouncing of lyrics, ETC!

And because of the story behind Arnel's discovery and the hype provided by Oprah and Ellen, Arnel Pineda got it better than whoever replaced Peter Cetera from Chicago. Then again, for those who will insist that Arnel is better than Steve Perry, think again idiots as Arnel will never be as good as Steve Perry was to journey.

And since you do listen to these kind of music, you probably do listen if not have seen Chicago, like I did. And the replacement vocalist for Peter Cetera is not as good a replacement as Arnel is to Steve Perry.

ANd you seem to forget Neal also hired JEFF SCOTT SOTO as a replacement as well. That should tell you something about his judgement. ( not to mention he DID NOT want Perry in the band when he first heard him) And BTW, Peter Cetera SUCKED LIVE as well, I heard him back in the day, so a sucky replacement wouldn't matter too much.

@NoSteveNoPoint ... I just heard Peter Cetera live and he sounded good, really good. And I do agree with you that Celine Dion sounds good live (saw her live at the A.A. Center in Dallas). Most vocalists don't sound good live, as AC/DC sucked big time when I saw them live, U2 at the Dallas Cowboys stadium sucked so bad we had to leave the show as Bono sounded so bad. Mick Jagger and the great Sir Paul McCartney should be banned from live performances while Norah Jones is a few with Celine

We Will see Journey the 3rd of August Journey is and has always been my Favorite Band. I would be kidding myself if I said Arnel had the same voice as Steve Perry but they are still Journey..
But we are traveling 600 Miles to see them while on Vacation.
