  • He is a real master...

  • If God has an organist, I doubt he or she could play this piece any better! Stunning performance by a true master of his art!

  • This is without doubt the best rendition of BWV 582 I've ever heard.

I love this organ too; I bought it as one of the sample sets for my Hauptwerk organ, and I hardly use anything else these days.

  • wonderful!

  • Like, absolutely first-rate. It doesn't get any better than this. Way to go, babe!

  • Thank you for the upload of this wonderful Bach work so amazingly performed by this genious. Thank you

  • This piece just rocks.

First knew it by playing (fiddle) in Respighi's transcription

in the Norwich Youth Orchestra (c 1967)

    David

  • Alors là, respect total ! Un grand moment ! D.BABEL

  • Magnífica, estupenda versión. La calidad del sonido es insuperable. El tiempo de la ejecución que le da Stamm es adecuado, con gran profundidad. ¡Bravo!

  • @BillyRosinet

I hope you aren't eating quiche or annotating you program:

code which is hard to write should be hard to understand!

    @ForestChay

Heels are part of organ playing. At least they weren't 6 inch stillettos:)

  • It's so intense and personal.. it cradles my soul and jiggles it up and down

  • Chills down my spine (literally)

  • Tears in my eyes. Brilliant piece, brilliant perfomance!

    Thanks!

  • You need to be a airmaster to control this instrument 100 % this guy truly is amazing

Bach you're the only one who can makes me happy

i cant life wihout fugues, my old Master told me the whole universe is a fugue and now i understand

  • Probably my favourite organ piece. So moving, so powerful! Also, the choice of organ and organist are top notch!

  • Thanks...

  • i never play the bass with my heels.. is it just me or is it more fun without ?

  • Probably the most incredible performance I have ever seen. I was literally crying by the end of the piece. Amazing job!

  • @timothymastic me too

  • @timothymastic I was too.....

  • @timothymastic : Can you play the organ ? If so. Start work on the present composition in front of us.

  • BTW, this instrument sounds as though it is tuned about 55-60 cents sharp relative to modern concert pitch. Certainly doesn't detract from the sound though. That finale literally vibrated my desk!

  • @BillyRosinet I noticed that too, because we played a concert band transcription of it, and I play the Bassoon, a C concert instrument and when I went to play it on the piano along with the organ I had to play a Db instead of a C and that didn't even sound quite right!

  • I am listening to this piece as I work on a complicated piece of assembly language software. I hope the precision, if not the genius, of Old Man Bach rubs off.

  • That organ is absolutely beautiful! and great performance!

  • Amazing, though I don't get why Stamm has to use his heels.

  • Absolutely fantastic!

It sends shivers down my spine!

It's also interesting watching "Le jeune homme et la mort", that is with this music.

    Love it!

    Thank you for posting!

  • NIcely played and great to hear the whole piece as intended.

  • Thank you so much!!! I love this piece, can't hear enough of this!!!

And also, thanks to put in on as an complete piece.
