@EpicWin1812 haha, read some books dude! napoleon was a genious, he fought several battles outnumbered but still he crushed them and at the same time took relatively small losses based on the numbers he fought with!
нашли кого сравнивать . встретились бы они на самом деле наполеон бы ему жопу порвал .из всех военачальников нового времени с наполеоном мог сравняться только суворов .
Washington was a guerrilla commando, Napoleon commanded armies numbering the hundreds of thousands spanning entire continents. Washington fought a relatively small army, Napoleon defeated the combined military genius of Europe for 15 years. There's no comparison
@TheRhinehart86: Read Washington's bio. He was a British army regular long before he commanded the Continentals. He fought a guerrilla war because he HAD to. He knew how to win against incredible odds, and sucking larger armies into fights where he had the advantage was his specialty. Washington could have easily figured out how to sucker Nepoleon into a no-win situation just like Wellington did (see Waterloo). Especially if the fight is in North America. The man was that smart.
@rbkc29 I didnt mean to say that Washington was an inferior commander, but the careers of the 2 generals were so vastly different that you cant really compare the two. Though I will point out that Washington never fought an army anywhere near as large as Napoleon's, on that scale military command is a completely different matter. Napoleon also had a much better win-loss ratio, though I suppose since he ultimately lost where Washington won that doesn't really prove much. Its all speculation
@TheRhinehart86: Of course, it's spectulation. Deadliest Warrior is just a bunch of guys using science as an excuse to fire old weapons and make a shit-load of money at the same time: i.e. every man's (non-sexual) dream. However, of all the tests they've done, these two have been the closest together in terms of time-period, so it's only logical to take the research a little more seriously. To me, the terrain is key. Nepoleon;s style of war would lose in North America.
@rbkc29 Washington was NEVER a British army regular. He commanded Virginia militia in the F&I War. He didn't fight a guerrilla war--he detested that kind of combat though some units did fight like that. He built up his army so it could finally stand face to face with the Brits though he needed the French at his side to win. Remember, most battles he lost. He also faced second rate British generals and troops. Against Napoleon and experienced French troops he wouldn't have lasted long.
@IuniusPalladius you expect detailed research from deadliest warrior? :-) but yeah i understand, i try best to just treat it as an action movie or etc... weve all seen movies that claim to be historical and completely rewrite thyings
@XxModernDayRaiderxX Yes. It's called canister. Grapeshot is a naval round. They're similar but there are important differences but as several people noted, the show is for fun, it's not serious research or meant to be accurate. I was prob taking it a tad too seriously.
The six pounder caused the British to wave the white flag? I think that was the French army and navy at Yorktown. The French had the 6 pounder too guys--and 12 pounders and 8 pounders. Sad. Kids playing with toys but they don't understand their employment on the battlefield.
George Washington could simply do more with less, Napoleon just used numbers to sacrificed themselves for his selfish gain

Comparing these two generals is like comparing apples to oranges, they're opposites.
