I love the rivalry they put into this song. :) It's ironic to me, considering the actual song is Galinda /actually/ trying to help Elphaba. (It's the song "Popular" from the hit musical 'Wicked'.)

@dalivsta , you are not the only one to ask/spot this - see earlier comments! As you suggest, it was planned - Lauren was supposed to slide, although she probably exaggerated the slide a little more than intended to be - but kept going , as a true performer!

But what a superb performance by these two in the competition for this song - the best by far, as testified by the majority of comments here!

This was, by far, the highlight of the 2010 contest!! with Danielle and Lauren, performing here.

Although there was some good talent in the show, these two were way ahead of all the rest.

Perhaps not singing to their absolute best, as we hear them elsewhere, their acting and dance on this song made up for that. Together, they work well and an exceptional team.

I agreed with john in that they were a great double act. but i have 2 say Danielle protrayed the emotion and acted the song better than Lauren. Lauren throut the comp i thort was a brilliant performer but was no way near 2 the high standard of danielles acting. but also i just think she didn't/doesn't suit the role of dorothy, but Danielle does suit the role 100% IMO.

i can't get enough this. they were both so good. to be honest I thought lauren might show Danielle up if they were paired together, becuase she has more range in her voice.
