@Pollymyluv I just read ray's blog. I agree with him that he never wanted to be what he is..gay. But, he was when he wrote all these wonderful, God-filled songs. God knew then what he would decide later to do, but still was glorified in the words of each song. I feel it is more of a not wanting to deny self, but instead, give in to the lust of the flesh. I cannot say whether this has been done for Ray, but it makes the words of this, and his earlier songs no less true, nor does it make Christ's sacrifice any less powerful in Ray's life. We tend to in the church, have more compassion on an alcoholic than one struggling with his sexuality. Excellent message and support video--especially at Easter we need to remember that ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God but that Christ died for all-- regardless of the nature of their sin. God's word will not return void. We need to pray for all and be thankful for the message of Christ on the Cross that this artist has given. We will all give an account for our lives one day.

People have a choice in choosing "alternative lifestyles" that are plagued with disease,destruction and premature death. Praise God .. He is still on the Throne!! He is a very loving and a very forgiving God. His tender mercies are beyond more than anyone could imagine. I wish everyone would get off the bandwagon of what Ray may have done. There is no "grade" of sin. A sin is a sin and EVERYONE deserves their place at the front of the line, myself included. I praise God for His amazing grace, and for the blessing of this man's beautiful voice!

Ray will be judged by God and we are not God. He has written wonderful songs that I still love. There truly is no such thing as a gay Christian and Ray knows this. He knows homosexuality is a sin. Let's just pray for him and for ourselves as judging others is a sin as well.

@Pollymyluv I just read ray's blog. I agree with him that he never wanted to be what he is..gay. But, he was when he wrote all these wonderful, God-filled songs. God knew then what he would decide later to do, but still was glorified in the words of each song. I feel it is more of a not wanting to deny self, but instead, give in to the lust of the flesh. We all can say we are guilty from time to time of that. I choose to love ray, and pray he walk in God's favor, and not my judgement.

I cannot say whether this has been done for Ray, but it makes the words of this, and his earlier songs no less true, nor does it make Christ's sacrifice any less powerful in Ray's life. He will be judged, and forgiven for his sins, because of the very sacrifice of which this song speaks.

@sdelama also look at the context of the first sentence of yours in the Bible. Christ never said that lady was right, in fact he told she had sinned and told her not to do it again. the reason he told those pharisees that was because their intent was to catch Christ in a trap of words and reason, not because the woman hadn't sinned or that they shouldn't stand on the truth. if you choose to use Biblical passages then make sure you don't misuse the words that God Almighty Himself inspired!

We tend to in the church, have more compassion on an alcoholic than one struggling with his sexuality. For years, I am sure ray tried living as he felt he was meant to in marriage, but faltered as the temptations became too much. I agree, one cannot continue, but we should be on our knees praying his release..:)

Sin entered in many forms, and man became subject to the imperfections that sin brought. God didn't create it that way, but sin did. But what would you say toward a child who is born with a predisposition toward alcoholism, or toward drug use and abuse? What about those, like me, born with violent tempers? Excellent message and support video--especially at Easter we need to remember that ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God but that Christ died for all-- regardless of the nature of their sin. God's word will not return void. We need to pray for all and be thankful for the message of Christ on the Cross that this artist has given. We will all give an account for our lives one day.

I am not a christian, but I concur with you born again bible believing spirit filled christians that homosexuality is wrong. People have a choice in choosing "alternative lifestyles" that are plagued with disease,destruction and premature death. Ray was married for over 30 years and the GLBTQ advocates will say Ray was gay from birth.

It's really disgusting to see all the comments in this section from supposed Christians who are incapable of demonstrating God's grace. The Holy Spirit does not stop working in the heart of those that are called to Him. Instead of hatefully pointing fingers as though you are without sin, why do you not follow Jesus and PRAY for those you believe are lost, and for SURE for your brothers and sisters in Christ whom YOU believe to have fallen away?
