Someone told me that Lisa Toadie died a year or two ago. I don't have any confirmation, because I never knew her real last name, but the story going around Dallas was that she'd been in an accident.
Oh, yay. I mean, not Yay that she left the band...but Yay that she's still alive and doing her own thing. I adored her. She was probably my favorite member of the band. That girl could rock a bass like nobody's business. Plus, backstage, she was the most best conversationalist. Sometimes, I miss those hot Dallas nights. :)
I saw the Toadies a couple weeks ago with a friend of mine. The band was hanging out with everyone after, and I mentioned to my friend how the bass player used to be a female. For a second she thought I meant the person had a sex change. He was right there and I wanted to mention it to him, but she asked me not too cause she was too embarrassed. It was funny though.
is this an aids benefit?

No, she just turned 44 in April. She just left the band is all.

@duckideva Lisa Umbarger didn't die, it was their old guitar player from the early '90's, Tracey Sauerwein. That was back in Fall of '04.
