@Zazto Well it seemed like how they did the level design for FEAR 2 and FEAR 1 seems way off, cause FEAR 2 has level that are purely scary, then levels that are just action packed, where as FEAR 1 has both in each level packed in such a way that you don't know what's coming, it keeps you as the player on your toes...FEAR 2 is fun as hell but its not as scary as FEAR 1
2 isnt really scary, original is the one u flee from. I think theres only 3 good scares in fear 2, all in the dark corridors - the original environment base for fear 1.

But let me tell you, when I put it on hard I kept forgetting the creepy parts, and knowing I could die in two hits makes your blood pump even more, and when you get frustrated, Alma releases you at the end.
@vegetaover9000 Its not actually as scary as Silent Hill or Resident Evil (first 3) and its addicting as hell. Give it a shot, I HIGHLY reccomend it :)

What I really would like to see next FEAR is death of Geneivieve Aristide. It has to be really epic and gruesome, since she really deserves it.
@Forthias is not easy trying to avoid a psychotic pissed off horny naked underage dead girl that gave birth to 2 babies when she was 15 years old and is trying to rape you so she can get pregnant while you fight a guy that has lost his mind and is trying to get alma to notice him and she's fucking you at the same time all this is happening when you are strap down on a chair inside a giant sphere and when you climax after only 5 minutes and 10 seconds later alma gets a giant belly only 10seconds!
@kisos007 Probably won't happen. F3ar has epic multiplayer, but the single player wasn't as good as 2, imo. And the studio that made the first 2 is/has been liquidated as far as I know lol. They should hand the reigns over to Team Silent, but that's never going to happen. I can dream, though. lol.
@kisos007 I got it like 3 days after it came out, the pc version is poorly ported and multiplayer is pretty much broken (takes like 30 mins to start a 15 minute match) lol.
@kisos007 Yeah, it's not nearly as good. You can tell by playing that Monolith was replaced half-way through. I'm still not sure why Beckett needed to die, makes no sense to me to kill the childs father off and leave PM with it lol. Second playthough, you will see Fettels ending. Although we don't know for sure if it's going to be cannon with 4.
@Forthias It is not nearly good because the game was supposed to be about special forces and there were nothing like this ! I don't like that point man went rogue ! he should try to fight Aristide ! Tthe game had nothing to do with the expansions which is just stupid !
@kisos007 The expansions (from the first one) aren't cannon, Monolith wrote them out of the timeline because they didn't really add anything to it, and PM never really went rogue, he just knew what would happen if they allowed Alma to live. I agree, though, Aristide should have made an appearance, something should have happened that tied 2-3 together lol. The special forces could be the multiplayer modes, such as Contractions, which is the special forces holding out for evac.
@Forthias Actually they had to add the deaths if Holiday and Jin. But since they made these games they sould try to make them "tied" And PM may not really went rogue but this kind of story pretty much sucks ! Let's hope they make a next F.E.A.R. bringing back SFOD-D and F.E.A.R. teams chasing Aristide,but this is not likely since Alma died
@kisos007 Yeah there will be a 4, they are already beginning development of it. But Holiday and Jins deaths werent mentioned anywhere in the game, nice of them to let us know. PM just kinda finished what the team started, though. Play through with Fettel, and let me know what ya think, I think 4 would be better based off of his ending :)

That's because Extraction Point never happened. Holiday appears in the MP mode of FEAR 3 as the token black guy, and Jin appears in SP as an extremely shitty and boring character.
@kisos007 Alma probably still exist(monolith states she "Presumably exists" and as for being eaten by Fettel they say he "Killed/absorbed Alma"). Harlan Wade's memories were erased and he ceased to exist(Though he wasn't a telepath either) and vanished in cloud of ash, but Alma and Fettel however seemed just to...transit somewhere. It seems neither Fettel or Alma can be truly killed, since they both have died before, and all it seems it just makes them more powerful, but who knows?
If there is a fourth one, I'll presume that Armacham once again get's an idea of century and decides to kidnap alma's baby to cover their financial losses. This would be good reason for Alma to awaken again and wreak some mayhem. Aristide might just be alive. In Armacham's field guide, she made it clear that she needed becket to distract Alma, so she could capture point man to be reprogrammed. Since PM was prisoner when fear 3 begun, she might have just pulled it trough and lived.
@Ruosteinenknight PM took the baby , so if they take both of them who will fight ? And Becket was ignorant of Aristides stupidity ! Besides PM doesn't need Aristide to make Alma do mayhem !
I just beat this yesterday (Low Difficulty since im horrible at FPS games), but damn fun game. Disappointed like a few others here with the ending though. I have the distinctive feeling we'll be playing as Alma's son in the next one. Or another new guy with the Slow-Mo ability.

I think the APC fight at the end was more of a way of Monolith saying "Hey, you're Badass, and we know it. Here's some mindless Replicants to shoot up!"

I was hoping for a more suitable song for the "climax" of the game. An '80s-styled song with vocals doesn't fit the theme of the rest of the game's music.
I also didn't like Manny's lines, as they were too cliched and made the Replicas come off as a joke, rather than super-soldiers.

@kisos007 Probably won't happen. F3ar has epic multiplayer, but the single player wasn't as good as 2, imo. And the studio that made the first 2 is/has been liquidated as far as I know lol. They should hand the reigns over to Team Silent, but that's never going to happen. I can dream, though. lol.

@kisos007 I got it like 3 days after it came out, the pc version is poorly ported and multiplayer is pretty much broken (takes like 30 mins to start a 15 minute match) lol.

@kisos007 Yeah, it's not nearly as good. You can tell by playing that Monolith was replaced half-way through. I'm still not sure why Beckett needed to die, makes no sense to me to kill the childs father off and leave PM with it lol. Second playthough, you will see Fettels ending. Although we don't know for sure if it's going to be cannon with 4.
Still, the multiplayer is great!

@Forthias It is not nearly good because the game was supposed to be about special forces and there were nothing like this ! I don't like that point man went rogue ! he should try to fight Aristide ! Tthe game had nothing to do with the expansions which is just stupid !

@kisos007 The expansions (from the first one) aren't cannon, Monolith wrote them out of the timeline because they didn't really add anything to it, and PM never really went rogue, he just knew what would happen if they allowed Alma to live. I agree, though, Aristide should have made an appearance, something should have happened that tied 2-3 together lol. The special forces could be the multiplayer modes, such as Contractions, which is the special forces holding out for evac.

@Forthias Actually they had to add the deaths if Holiday and Jin. But since they made these games they sould try to make them "tied" And PM may not really went rogue but this kind of story pretty much sucks ! Let's hope they make a next F.E.A.R. bringing back SFOD-D and F.E.A.R. teams chasing Aristide,but this is not likely since Alma died

@kisos007 Yeah there will be a 4, they are already beginning development of it. But Holiday and Jins deaths werent mentioned anywhere in the game, nice of them to let us know. PM just kinda finished what the team started, though. Play through with Fettel, and let me know what ya think, I think 4 would be better based off of his ending :)

@Forthias Without PM the next will sucks since Fettel killed him ! But then again they need Fettel in order to raise the baby as the next "Bad Guy" ! The PM ending should have Fettel knocking him away or something and taking the baby , so that in the next game PM will destroy him !

That's because Extraction Point never happened. Holiday appears in the MP mode of FEAR 3 as the token black guy, and Jin appears in SP as an extremely shitty and boring character.

@kisos007 Alma probably still exist(monolith states she "Presumably exists" and as for being eaten by Fettel they say he "Killed/absorbed Alma"). Harlan Wade's memories were erased and he ceased to exist(Though he wasn't a telepath either) and vanished in cloud of ash, but Alma and Fettel however seemed just to...transit somewhere. It seems neither Fettel or Alma can be truly killed, since they both have died before, and all it seems it just makes them more powerful, but who knows?

If there is a fourth one, I'll presume that Armacham once again get's an idea of century and decides to kidnap alma's baby to cover their financial losses. This would be good reason for Alma to awaken again and wreak some mayhem. Aristide might just be alive. In Armacham's field guide, she made it clear that she needed becket to distract Alma, so she could capture point man to be reprogrammed. Since PM was prisoner when fear 3 begun, she might have just pulled it trough and lived.

I just beat this yesterday (Low Difficulty since im horrible at FPS games), but damn fun game. Disappointed like a few others here with the ending though. I have the distinctive feeling we'll be playing as Alma's son in the next one. Or another new guy with the Slow-Mo ability.

Extraction Point was the scariest FEAR for me.
Let's see, noticing that a phone is ringing you answer it and Alma screams at the top of her lungs while the phone explodes in your face,Jankowski's creepy death with the lights flashing on and off,then there's that one part with the dead Delta Force soldier who when you approach him is violenty thrown into the ceiling,followed by chewing noises.....creepy.

I think the APC fight at the end was more of a way of Monolith saying "Hey, you're Badass, and we know it. Here's some mindless Replicants to shoot up!"
Then the fight with Keegan was insane.

I was hoping for a more suitable song for the "climax" of the game. An '80s-styled song with vocals doesn't fit the theme of the rest of the game's music.
I also didn't like Manny's lines, as they were too cliched and made the Replicas come off as a joke, rather than super-soldiers.
