I really think you need to look at the real reason you are depersonalized. You keep mentioning how much anxiety you have and depersonalization is a symptom of anxiety. As a separate disorder it is very rare, it refers more to someone who has had a very traumatic experience be it in childhood war or torture.
I have been dealing with DP for 4 years. The DP started after I quit smoking. I'm thinking maybe my body needs nicotine. I beleive my mother smoked while she was pregnant with me. I quit (cigarettes)cold turkey. I just bought nicotine gum to see if this effects me in any way. I will let you know.
unigirlb.., you could have gotten rid of dp the month you got it.
go to google and type in anxiety busters forum. and schedual to talk with dr. freedman and buy the program. dp really isnt what u think it is. trust me!
You actually addressed issues that I have currently been thinkng about. What are people out there with DP doing for work, to survive?
Also, Are there any people out there in their 40s, 50s, 60s with the disorder that can share? I understand its youtube with a young audience but I am in my 40s and I want to also hear from people in my age group, how they are doing.
Thanks unigirl, Stay strong and survive. You've already made a contribution to many peoples lives.
Probably due to the video sync. Check the video before uploading and make sure you record to one of the formats best suited to youtube (H264) so it doesn't have to re-encode.
