It's funny... most comments make physical comparisons of you and your Dad to Kenny Rogers, which I suppose are true. But I also hear the story of your Dad, the gambler... a man with the intelligence and fortitude to know when to take risks (hold 'em) and when not to (fold 'em). Those qualities exist in you too, Dave. On this last viewing, I noticed that you use the same shot in "One" of your young Dad and Mum heading to a car (just married?) and draw a parallel of them diving into the pool.
I also love that you included tape of your Dad cooking! His sense of humour shines in your respectful, praise-worthy tribute. I very much look forward to meeting him... actually, I look forward to meeting your whole family.
Gee Dawn, I'd love to think I had my father's knack for knowing when to take a risk and when to fold. He's certainly shown that skill in business... I wasn't aware of picking it up... perhaps this talent has been latent in me till now?
He certainly is an excellent cook- a skill he picked up from his mum. Of course, I learned the basics far more recently, with you in India, and will be editing our "Bachelor Kitchen" soon.

Your video "One" is a favorite of mine. One only need watch to see why. The Gambler is as well. Each viewed separately is a treat, but together the big picture comes into focus.I see you have your Dad's rugged good looks (yes a bit of Kenny R. there)..lol and Mum's irrepressible smile. I perceive Dad being full of mischievous fun and Mum,free spirited fun. I see a clear love of life and family. It is no wonder that you are able to produce videos that are so rich in both content and commentary.

You are right- and thanks for noticing- that "The Gambler" and "One" are two sides of the same coin. My Dad, a country boy with clear and simple values, got together with my Mum, a city girl of more sophisticated tastes, to create the mini-culture that was The Williams Family!
