  • lets fucking argue about gravity.

  • Yes, as others have said before, less gravity (~1/6 that of Earth's) not NO gravity. Same applies to the "zero gravity" that's always touted around for the "vomit comet" and astronauts orbiting the earth, which is simply just free fall.

Now, shipping to the moon would involve supply spacecraft, but shipping from it to the earth or elsewhere would likely use an Electromagnetic railgun to fire packages (encased in a thermal shield if to Earth) off of the moon itself.

  • Best fedex ad ever

  • Stupid. Moon has LESS gravity, not NO gravity.

  • nice use of final countdown. looked kinda 2001: a space odyssey, though.

  • I know this sounds stupid...

what about UPS and the other delivery companies delivering in space?

  • No, only FedEx can do that !

  • RIP Phill.....lol

  • hahah

  • ...epic...

  • R.I.P. Bill....

  • I always think of Gob Bluth when I hear The Final Countdown. Any commercial that reminds me of Arrested Development is a winner in my books.

And to be fair, the moon's gravity IS weaker than on Earth, and if there's air in the Moon Office, I'd think that would add a bit of extra resistance to slow down any falling objects, so most of the happenings here aren't completely inconceivable.

  • bye bye bill! LOL

  • Love the song!

  • what song is that!!!!???

  • Final countdown

  • The music is from the movie "Rockie". It's also played at the Superbowl. Go Colts!

  • The final countdown

  • Funny because there is actually gravity on the moon.

  • And why are meteors burning ?

  • the final countdown rocks!!!!!!!!!!

  • come on people...it is a commercial not sciencetific...not nasa...a commercial. They are trying to sell something..period.

  • the space nerds who are commenting about how unrealistic this video is? yeh, i think there might be a reason as to why you got swirlied and wedgied at school today. jeez lighten up! its an ad, not a documentary.

ooh and notice how theres no stars. CONSPIRACY.

    lol.

  • Coming to a theatre near you.... ATTACK OF THE SPACE NERDS

  • you ppl know too much about space

    its a funny

    and somewhat unrealistic vid

but its funny so thats the point

  • It was Mark Twain who said "Fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities. Truth isn't." For those of us who have a better grasp of how the universe works, it's just easier to kill the party. :(

  • Ah space nerds.....its an ad, they can make watever they want including stuff that isnt realistic

  • I always hated this commercial. Pretending like there's no weight on the moon is like pretending that going to Niagara falls allows you to spit blue. If you know anything about how the universe works, this kind of stuff becomes non sequitur.

  • This ship looks almost like from "Space 1999" :D Cool commercial

  • you know, I think there's gravity on the moon.....

  • there is, its 1/6 the earth's gravity, which means that you will be 1/6 of your weight, which means you can jump 6 times higher, lift 6 times heavier weight and so on...

  • The thing is, there's still gravity on the moon. Including the inside of the office. So no floating around, and there's still inertia, so a backslap won't send you into orbit, meteors aren't common, but they're comedic, so it's forgivable, but the rest isn't. Didn't someone, during the production, think "hey, this isn't right?"

  • @NiXAeternus

and be 6 times less obese .....lol

  • Let`s say i wanted to put this video on to my ipod video, is there way`s to transfer it from youtube to my ipod?

  • not direkt...

  • download Videora

  • ohh!! lol

  • fell out of my thje first time i watched it

  • UPS has way better service but FedEx has better commercials like the turkey neck one, and now this! i like the meteor part.

  • I work for FedEx Express and never saw this commercial although I did see the making of it in the breakroom. LOVE the FedEx Spaceship!

  • i dont think it was rocky music xD

    but it was pretty cool!

  • Rocky Music!

  • it was "the final countdown" by "Europe"

  • That Europe song was obviously inspired(read, rip off ha ha) by Asia's Only Time Will tell. I always thought.

  • lol. that was really random.

  • this is the best ever! lovve fedxxx soo much! much love to fedexx hate UPS

  • that freakin arrow...the freaking fedex arrow

  • COOL!!!

  • Hahahaha lol love it 5 stars

  • song name I believe is Europe- the final countdown

BAD-ASS ad; at least due to use of that sone

  • Fedex is a hell hole. It's a SOULLESS corporation; A THANKLESS company. Thank God I left that HELL HOLE.

  • why? what happened?

  • yurtiçi kargo forever

  • I worked for Fedex as a courier for 5 years. I left a few months ago. Best decision of my life. Here is some truth. Fedex does not care about their employees at all. They cut our raises from twice a year to once a year. There are NO incentives at Fedex. NONE. You are PRESSURED to make your on-road goal every week. Yet, these hypocrites preach safety first all the time. Be safe....BUT YOU BETTER MEET YOUR ON ROAD GOALS OR IT'S A LETTER!! They FORCE the employees to do doubles.

  • UPS is better

  • O_O""""

  • retrogamer... you know - it's a commercial. commercials usually lie - wait until you find out that fedex doesn't deliver to the moon ;) it will be a truly enlightening moment.

  • The moon has no atmosphere. Therefor, there should be no tail on the meteor. And the moon does have more gravity than they are showing in the ad. Also, the Earth looks closer than it actually is in real life. And why do the men have the lights on their helmet on? It is daytime on that side of the moon. That would be wasting energy. And the sound of the FedEx thrusters. You can not hear sound in a vacum. And when that guy pats the man in the back, the man flies off in a different direction.

  • Relax. It's FedEx

  • hey mr. analretentive dude, Haley's Comet has a tail and it's not in the atmosphere.

The lights on the helmets help because the shadows are much more black due to a lack of atmospheric dispersion of light.

That said, it's a frickin commercial based on a fantasy premise so the rules are suspended. When you come down off your meds you might figure that out.

  • Comets and meteors are two different things. Comets get their tail from solar wind bashing against the nucleus, causing particles to fly off. Meteors get their tail from the atmosphere heating them to incredible temperatures. And comets are usually bigger than a small car. Much bigger. Did NASA think they needed lights on their space suits? They did not. Know your science before you bash my knowledge.

  • You're the one that said it's a meteor, I didn't. Maybe it is a comet. And maybe the comet didn't know it was supposed to be "bigger than a small car", becuase when it was flying across the universe it forgot to consult retrogamer500.

Those NASA spacesuits were without lights because of budget cuts. They blew the whole budget on those gold coatings on their face shields.

That said, it's a frickin commercial based on a fantasy premise so the rules are suspended.

  • ha ha ha aye cuz got hit by tha meteor dat was so funny

  • lol

  • Europe...

  • your RETARDED mrbenz....

  • this is a dumb advertisement.

  • lol

  • should have talked to some physicists about this one...

  • whats the name of da beat or song wen the ship comes in????

  • it's the final countdown

  • IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!!!

  • ok youtube, how much are these companys paying to get there ads in the top listing, what a load of sh**. if I want ads there are two televisions in my house.

  • My thought exactly.

  • Moon ahs gravity, just low gravity. Funny commercial though. Almost dies when I hear final countdown.

  • that's a super bowl commercial?! wow in england we have the most boring commercials... watch the F.A. cup on sky sports at 7:00...I WANNA LIVE IN THE USA!

  • Looks like it was shot on same location as original moon landing!

  • Don't start that crap adash007...

  • Nothing makes me want to use FedEx like a fictional moon base!

  • Damn straight the final countdown! The only reason this is my favourite superbowl commercial from this year

  • >.< absolutely no attempt at consistent gravity

  • >.< absolutely no attempt at consistent gravity

  • crazy xD

  • it was ok but not as funny as the bud ight wedding or the bud lite fist bump

  • Man was that funny

  • FedEx space

  • Subscribe to my videos!

  • hahaha

  • I have seen better comercials on TV.

  • I give it a semi laugh,,opps not that much!,lol

  • Way to go Randy!

  • Nice commercial, I like the part when the ship lands and the song very cool.

  • lol cool

whats with all the people arguing about gravity? its a fictional commercial meant to entertain us who cares if its realistic or not you guys should go see the coca-cola happiness factory blow your brains out explaining that one :)

  • Except for the song and the ending that sucked sweaty chocolate salty balls.

  • the onlu nice thing about this commercial is the song final countdown by europe

  • Whatever science nerds...this is realy funny!!!

  • Funny>>> Love the time Machine

  • chill out! its a funny commercial :P

  • FedEx also has a Time Machine.

  • 5'd for Europe.

  • Best one this year!

  • i dont think moon's gravity is THAT weak enough to have people floating like that

  • FINAL COUNTDOWN.

  • the moon does not have the atmosphere to cause combustion of a meteor

  • meeeh

  • fo sho

  • Nice. :P

  • this commercai isn't funny...IMO the Kevin Federline commercial is/was the best

  • This was one of my favorite commercials... I'll never get tired of it!

  • lame

  • hah lmfao

  • The funniest one I have seen!

  • Omg that is so funny!

  • LOL my dad works for FedEx so it is funny

  • whatd'ya know? my friend davey johnson! (right?)

  • the ending left me rolling on the floor in laughter

  • You all are soo funny! Its just a commercial! Go after Geico and their caveman and talking lizard if you are that obsessed over a stupid commercial.

My #1, too funny, by far the best!

Unbelievable is that people were actually cheering for Prince and his doorag.

  • Uh, yeah, awesome grasp on physics, guys.

  • the best by far

  • JoseAnd911: I couldn't stop laughing

i certainly didn't even laugh...waste of money FedEx

  • i agree

  • me to it is so funny

  • i liked it because of the song they played. i love the final countdown

  • heh. that's great. too bad it's not realistic at all.

  • The Meditor made the ad

  • I like it you get the point the song is awesome.

  • I couldn't stop laughing

  • Call me a killjoy, but this commercial really bugs me. They make it seem like there's no gravity on the moon, but the moon in fact HAS gravity. It may be a mere fraction of Earth's, but it would still be able to keep you coffee in your cup. Laaaaaaame...

  • It's 1/8 gravity... the commercial makes it look more like 1/15, not completely without gravity. Notice the guy's trajectory just before he gets hit.

  • The reality is the gravity in this is all screwed up. Inside the station it was zero, and outside it was only a little less than Earth's (that is, until the guy got pushed into the air). It's a dumb commercial. Lame. Yep.

  • dood who cares?

  • Sure is.

  • i liked this, was a good idea

  • after some digging I found out who the Boss and Phil (meteor guy) are---boss is British comedian Paul Rogan and the asteroid guy 'phil' is another comidian guy Randy McDowell not sure about the other 2---although I think I saw the copy machine girl on an episode of that TBS show about the grocery store-- not for certain though. I thought the commercial IMHO was hillarious gravity or not.

  • that Guy Got Pwned Bad wonder where he ended up.( I dont wanna know)

  • Cursedmonkeypaw, is there ANY evidence that they didn't live at the same time? if there is, tel me and respond

  • There is evidence in the rock strata, that we have been around for about 4 million years at most.

There is evidence in the rock strata, that dinosaurs existed at most about 65 million years ago.

This is evidence that the two species in question have not lived at the same time.

  • i thought it was funny

  • getting hit by a meteor isn't funny, it's broad, boring physical humor

I did like the spacesuits though

  • Really, the depth of the critical analysis on this spot is a discussion about gravity? Really? Did everyone hate that last years spot because dinosaurs and cavemen didn't exist in the same time?

  • No because we know that is fantasy.

SciFi, should have basic science in it. Cavemen and dinosaurs can be scifi if time machines are involved. We can all follow that story. But if the time traveler starts floating around on the surface of the earth, we go "WTF this isn't a time machine story, its just wierd".

Well the whole, "office workers floating around on the moon" is wierd, odd, off kilter, has bad taste in mouth and etc.

  • Owned?

  • Arrested Development made that song cool. Screw this commercial.

  • what song is that?

  • The Final Countdown by Europe

  • It's not supposed to follow gravity! It's fiction idiots!

  • the song is Final Countdown by Europe

  • holy crap lol

  • For a four M$ spot they could at least bother to think (or find someone that can) about these things. A significant number of people whom they target *will* notice these things. But previous commenter is right: this is not Wikipedia.

  • Why bother with space suits as protection from vacuum if you're going to ignore gravity? Why is the grapvity selectively applied? Why do they show meteors when there is no atmosphere? Almost the same commercial could have been made in orbit and made sense e.g. an attachment to the Space Station (Bob could become a meteor: "Anybody seen Bob?" followed by a toddler on earth pointing to a meteor).

  • the only good part of that was when the guy gets hit by the shooting star

  • Best Super Bowl Ad!!

  • hahahahah great commercial, nice song, and the comet at the end is priceless

  • Oh god you people are retarded!

  • LOL! THIS IS HILARIOUS!

  • there's gravity on the moon... stupid advertisers...

  • is not even worth to comment on.

  • What is the song playing at the end

  • Europe - The Final Countdown

  • that's stupid ! the Moon has gravity !

  • that was so fucking lame

  • there is gravity on the moon.

  • One of the dumbest commercials ever. Why not show people floating around in zero gravity at FedEx's offices in Memphis? That'd make just as much sense.

  • If only FedEx would spend some of that advertising on hiring actual drivers, instead of farming out our deliveries to a ragtag assortment of disgruntled locals.

  • Me too. Gob rules!

  • not funny, last year is the god, this yr is plan stupid.

  • hey whats that song at the end

  • Europe - Final Countdown

  • funny

  • my knowledge of 8th grade science prevents me from enjoying this ad :(

  • The Final Countdown totally made the video... that and the meteor... But seriously this year's commercials sucked, and this one was probably among the best. Drag.

  • ghey
