I was wondering, I know a trick similar to the Y2K, but its in a horizantal motion rather then a vertical motion. If you know the trick, can you do a quick video on it. instead of trying the move with the blade out, try taping your blade, use either scotch or duckt tape

My only safety tip for beginners would be, that if you are afraid or getting cut when practicing these trick, but do not wish to drop and possibly damage your balisong, then put a small layer or two of duct tape or something like that, on the sharp edge of the blade.

That way, you won't get cut. But of course if you make a mistake, you will get a small snap on your fingers, which won't be as bad as a cut.

Yeah, it might make the blade a bit sticky, but better that than a cut or a damaged blade.

Fail story: I was practicing this move, over my couch so as not to damage my (quite horrible) balisong, then suddenly decided I'd do a basic twirl instead. However, I forgot that I had my bite handle towards me, and cut myself. Sometimes even I can't help but laugh at my fails. ^^

Scotch tape, boys. If you're that afraid of being cut, and you WILL if you're a beginner, put scotch tape on the blade. Then practice fear free, get that shit down, and then once you're so good you know a mistake is unlikely, take the tape off.
