  • Just removed the keyless chuck on my drill after watching this vid. Easy to follow, Thanks alot for your time.

  • Thanks, this worked great for me. There's no way I could unscrew my torx screw so it felt good to bust the screw by torquing the chuck like you showed. I used a big pipe wrench.

  • i founf this vid very usefull , thanks very much

  • My double sleeve chuck has no screw to remove. There are flutes inside the chuck, down near the threads that a T-40 Torx will engage, but it would require a long T-40 with a handle--a Torx bit wouldn't work. What do I do now?

  • I tried to remove two chucks today after watching this and it was a no go. The drill would just spin when I hit the Allen wrench. I used a hammer about the size of yours (3 or 4lb I believe).

Between the chuck and drill body there were a space to put a thin wrench. I made a quick wrench out of out 10 gauge bar stock and then was able to remove the chuck. They were on there VERY tight, no way they would have come off otherwise. I had a 24" breaker bar on the hex socket in teh chuck!

  • On a front of the chuck you should have a silver colour nut - this is no 16mm. Use a spanner no 16mm (metric one) to unscrew the chuck without the hummer. But I'm afraid not every chuck have the nut on the front.
