  • love koreans -" oh he will catch som mutas "

    - koreans : "OHHHHHH!"

  • how did Boxer know the chojja had those expansions? he didnd't scout them lol

i guess thats why he dropped only 5-8 marines, in case those expensions were empty... that's awesome, i think chojja wanted boxer to focus on is main (thats why he built mass sunken) while in the meantime, he could make his gardians and destroy boxer's army...

  • @Polored1066 he scans often , i`m sure he knew exactly where the expantions were

  • Dude it's like you're reading an essay.

    ...

  • i always love the over the top rock at the end of starcraft games XD

  • ok, who the hell makes a row of sunkens like that? if hes gonna wall, he shoulda put tech buildings in a row with sunkens behind so the enemy cant hit the sunkens directly. Or better yet, dont make sunkens at all and do hold lurkers, 2 lurkers can kill a army of marines instantly if you do it right.

Also the muta harass failed pretty badly, i didnt even see one part where mutalisks killed any workers, they were just running around randomly.

  • Out of all the PPs, the 06 list was so not PP :{

Even this game wasnt THAT amazing... just 3x drops... he did it many times.

    I saw better games at WCG :{

  • I respect chojja, great guy.

  • wow boxer sure made that look easy

  • if i got triple dropped on my expansions by boxer, i would shoot myself lol

  • @tommyjang95

my friend, you don't watch enough starcraft1

  • @whooshx2 what u talking bout....

  • @tommyjang95 if i got triple dropped on my expansions by boxer, i'd rub my titties!

  • i dont think i ve seen a match that boxer lost in

  • dang cholera u sound so bored :L xD

  • triple drop ftw

  • dam boxer is sexy

  • ye realy nice act from chojja near the end

  • chojja

destroy the droships with your mutalisk you imbecile

  • Maybe dropships were new those times? I mean ... that was just weak play, oufcourse boxer won't ingage into 12 sunken colonies.

What most zerg players also forget is when to quit expanding + teching and get an army out. Our at least the scouting .. using one mutalisk could save him. Air dominace would KO boxer as his ground troups were useless.

    Anyway, great job Boxer there!

  • Class act by Chojja at the end. If only more people were like him. *coughfirebatherocaugh*

  • amazing...slayers is a pioneer in this business

  • against Boxer with defense XDXDXD

    The tripple drop was awesome

  • May not be the best playing from Chojja but i still wish more progamers could admire the winner like he does

  • The mass Sunken colonies is a referral play from YellOw or himself (i forgot) in a LT game. And however, it worked back then...

    not this time i suppose

  • you swallow, nuff said

  • Zerg could have got 70 lings with those minerals he wasted on sunkens

  • Respect for Chojja.

  • @ kawagata and whitecrit

Chojja had fewer bases, resources and units than Boxer when he gg'd but not when he lost the game. If he'd built three fewer sunkens he could've had almost two full control groups of 'lings and could've easily taken out Boxer's M&M force as it landed. He dug his own grave, really, as he had plenty of resources for an army large enough to hold off Boxer for quite a while.

After the triple drop the game was already over becuase Chojja lost his tech and hatches.

  • Watching this makes me smile. I'm a huge Boxer fan. He's been so rusty since he joined the Air Force. I hope he makes a huge comeback in Starcraft2.

  • oh my god, i hope he takes sc2 by storm. extreme MULE micro anyone?

  • ok how the FUCK did he make it into msl LOL

  • pretty lame from opponent. maybe he didnt know that drop ships exist?

  • boxer is so crazy good, it's like playing 2 pro league players at once.

  • Part of the pimpest play was really Boxer using those Marines to move in as though they were heading towards Chojja's natural expansion whilst at the same time hiding his Dropships in the fog.

Chojja's mistake was he didn't harass and scout Boxer's base. Even suiciding a couple of Mutas would do him some good. Gg.

  • Wow... it's a Maginot Line INDEED. Great comparison.

  • how did he won?? he had many units still still got many building including his hatchery etc... he is still in play?

    the game should of continue

  • idiot random comments? think before writting. You're totally far from my comment

  • buildings alone mean shit. It's a ombination of building/tech, units, and economy. Chojja had no units, not economy and no tech. A handfull of sunkens will not survive against tanks which boxer can easily build.

  • he had many ressources still so he could still create building /unit

  • everything is relative, boxer has MORE resources, MORE units, MORE bases and MORE tech. Game's over. Chojja could not have came back from that.

  • /agree with Kawagata

as the cholera said, all of chojja's tech buildings were destroyed, i think by the end all he had was a lair? i dont think he even had a pool up. anyway, for a long time, chojja wouldnt be able to build any sort of defense since his guardians were all dead (the wraiths). and chojja only has 1 base, while boxer has 4-6. that means boxer is FAR ahead in units, resources, AND tech. it was gg, no question

  • Sounds like you just took some vicodins or something for this one

  • lol his great wall of china didn't work

  • they should call it the great wall of fail :p

  • lol

  • In korea, we like to call it the "flower field"

  • Chojja + Boxer are like two chess masters having a professional match. When the match is over they shake hands like men, regardless of the outcome.

On the other hand, anything with FBH turns into a pay-per-view wrestling special. Drama, attitude and straight up disrespectful shenanigans. The unfortunate thing about FBH is despite his immature attitude he has professional skill so its a pretty odd mix. I respect his play I hate his attitude.

  • firebathero is fucking hilarious. he's the one guy everyone loves to hate, but i think he's a class act. he may be a dickhead when he wins, but at least he likes to have fun. starcraft is just a game after all.

  • Nothing gives you the right to be a dickhead :P

  • @SlashGQuitRexxar i love fbh :D i feel like pro gamers r so boring with the poker face crap but if fbh wins he lets his excitement out and puts up a good show!

  • wow Sportsmanship wise, I like it alot better, now -a-days its a little childish how the scene is with crazy celebrations and everything...but now-a-days its WAY more competitive...there's no one top player, even though that argument can be made for Bisu.

  • keef920, i think yellow actually beat flash with this strategy. its pretty good u you can suprise the terran and keep their vessels low

  • I'd like to see a game where this is pulled off successfully. Just because it seems weird to invest so many resources in static defenses that can be completely avoided.

  • chojja sorta played a noob strategy...

lots of sunkens for defense instead of a static ground force, and going for guardians...

I mean I know he would definitely whoop my ass at sc but it just doesn't seem like a good strategy for ZvT

  • Boxer= great hair and great skills

Choija= great sportsmanship and great try.

  • SPORTSMANSHIP WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN!

AND the game itself was amazing. Boxer triple drop = insta gg. Guardians > sunkens!

  • I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but you have a slight error when you stated that a few zerglings could have fended off the marine drop in his main base as they drop one by one. You forgot the large group of marines at the foot of the cliff, so you would need a sizable number of zerglings to simply reach the dropping marines and a fair amount more to finish them off before the supporting marines at the base of the cliff kill them all.

  • I like the good sportsmanship Chojja displayed.

  • I bet you were thinking of FBH when you mentioned ceremonies :)

  • "He got blitzkrieg'd by Boxer"

    haha Boxer is the man

    and nice commentaries, very enjoyable

  • great walls of sunkens... broken

  • Man, Boxer's playing ability is so much more confident at this point compared to the way he played Reach and Yellow. I love seeing the change.

  • haha magellan line, great analogy

  • maginot..............

  • oh lol, i see wut you did thar

  • Ugh...How could Chojja have made such a newbie mistake? The sunkens didn't even protect the his xpansion's mineral lines =_=

  • it is a very good idea to put up old good games, especially for those that started following the professional scene since only recently. Thank you Cholera, you are doing very well.

  • Chojja looks kinda fat.

  • The EMPEROR!

  • Ouch,Boxer knows how to hit exactly where it would hurt.

  • I guess chojja forgot terran can produce drop ships.

  • Just a quick think, Amazing commentary but Sunkens are 125 in total, which again is something he could have spent on other stuff, but not AS much :P

Great Commentary and I really enjoyed the game.

  • I included the 50 minerals for each drone also. Ty for watching!

  • Ahh ok sorry for that misunderstanding then.

  • Theoritically youlose more than 175 minerals because the drone you use to build the sunken isn't mining.

  • Seems logical but in fact it's not as mining isn't part of the equation here. The point being Chojja should have defended himself with some troops instead of all those sunkens so in this case you have to weigh defensive buildings against combat units rather than defensive buildings against production units (unless maybe you plan to _mine_ your opponent to death!?)

  • I used that strategy once... didn't work out :)

  • @KevinMorrissey2008 You must realize that every building costs one drone as well, therefore 175 for sunken colonies

  • guardian is definitly not a good idea

  • man that was awesome, keep finding classic games to commentate on :D

As for games/players/series I'd like to see... maybe some iloveoov? He was just a macro beast and in my opinion a very influential force on today's SC play.

  • heh, the comparison to the Maginot Line was incredibly apt there. gg.

  • wow, triple drop. gg

  • I can't see any of the current top pros making the same mistake as chojja. I've seen other pros do simultaneous attacks, but their opponents were good enough to fight it off. I agree that this is more of a n00best loss rather than a pimpest play. I want to see a game where Boxer plays a really good opponent, because I know he's an awesome player.

  • "Great Wall of China" not exactly the words I would have chosen, but... 'heh'.

Nice play by boxer, but this could also be put under the "n00best Losses of 2006" too. Just look @ Chojja's face.

  • lol

  • It's really amazing how much gameplay has changed. Great commentary, Cholera!

  • couldn't have changed too much considering it was barely two years ago.

Zergs still went FE into Muta --> Ling/Lurk --> Hive tech. But Chojja opted to skip Ling/Lurk... which wasn't the brightest idea.

  • thanks cholera

  • these were the days.... boxer, plz come back ~
