if you kick a ball end over end at pace and you have the pace to catch up, every 3 or so bounces the ball will pop up. that's the best time to strike the catch. if you're scoring just fall on the bloody thing.
No respect for Guscott since he bottled out of playing against Wigan in the cross code challenge...League is tougher then union but he let his team mates down that day.

In 1932, a little girl named Suzie was walking down the hall of an old hotel. A crazy man killed her by stabbing her in the back of the head and throwing her body in an elevator. While he closed the elevator doors he said the words "BAKUDA BAKUDA". Now that you have read this message, her dead body will appear in your bedroom every night you go to bed. Unless you do this:
tell you what, Almost anyone can kick the ball so it bounces, catching it and distancing it is the real skill.
Also both Guscot and Brian know more baout rugby and the skills than you and are both far better than you could be. They aren't the best but still so much better than you.
No im not an expert, i was just saying that i thought they needed to practise picking the ball up because that is the hardest part of the grubber kick, especially in such a short distance
Yeh absolutely, that's why i always try to kick it again to get it into in-goal for grounding. Of course that won't work if you're not close enough, so eventually you have to grab it or else.

i think first they need to learn how to pick the ball up, kicking the ball 10 yards in front is simple...but none of those boys could retrieve the ball again?
I'm sorry but not only was Guscott a shit rugby player, but he is also a horrific coach! And what the fuck does brian moore know about kicking... he was a 'meat-head' forward!
haha damn alot of people on here loove to talk crap

Well what would you have done you sound like your an expert what would have you made them do if you where coaching a junior team kicking
Marnfacy 4 years ago
If you have half decent handling skills a pick up is easy, you just need the confidence to do it at speed (which comes with practice).
