  • Really is magnificent

  • She's a beautiful engine! She also sounds just like the Milwaukee Road 261! 261 and 765 should have a doubleheader, someday! :)

  • this engine is on my railfan bucket list!

  • go to 2:50

  • Holy crap, that's awesome.

  • Her whistle seems to sound a bit higher than it sounded in the mid to late 80s or maybe that's just me, still sounds amazing.

  • According to the engineer, the train topped 51 mph on that trip! The Amtrak diesels were on just for power for the passenger cars. 765 pulled the train on her own. Longest train shes pulled since her rebuild! I was on the train that day, and the exhaust sounded like popping.

  • 'ol girl is blowing smoke-rings at the 2:05 mark. That's awesome!

  • @75Bird455 I noticed the same thing while chasing the 765! I love watching the rings float up into the air.

  • Very nice video! I like it! ... :)

  • Great stack talk at 3:48.

  • @PereMarquette1223 Yes, the 765 sounded great there! Nothing better than that! That was by far my favorite scene.

  • I'm actually in the shot between the five and six minute marks (Green shirt, closest to train). There's some really nice shots, and as a follow up to your look at my video, I am glad I looked at yours. The fact that I subscribed should say enough

  • @joneau261 Oh yeah, I see you in there! Thanks so much for the kind words. I really strive to make the best video possible, so I appreciate the positive feedback! I've always enjoyed watching your videos.

  • Great Video-Loved the dowtown moline creeping back to rock island and crossing the rock river videos. It was a great day to chase trains!

  • @dmbodeen Thanks! I liked those scenes too! I was a great day. Sun, clear skies, and an awesome steam locomotive!

  • where did the n&w spare tender come from?

  • @imagreatbigman Somehow the Ft. Wayne RR Historical Society got a hold of it. Too bad the 1218 isn't pulling it around.

  • Awesome great job.

  • @TrainmanEvan Thanks Evan.

  • Thank goodness!! I finally get to watch a professional video of a train. Great footage and nice angles with the camera to insure a perfect capture of a steam engine.

  • @BNSF700 Thanks! In reality though, the video doesn't compare to what the 765 was like in real life.

  • @stlgevo51 good point, but from a youtube perspective its quite good.

  • Superb coverage!!!

  • @dwkcamman611 Thank you!
