  • yupp Department of Homeland Security

  • I know what it takes to be a marine my son spent 8 years in the corps. he and I talk constalty about what it means. he was a radio operator with 1st recon and he was a leader from day one.

  • @LONHKIRBYTX007 Semper Fi.My son followed me yrs. later.

  • 2:57 I wonder how much crap that guy got for having a purple water bottle? haha.

  • I support what my dad had to do at Bougainville. I still don't know what happened. He wouldn't tell me as his daughter, but it was REALLLY BAD. That is what our US Marines do. They did what they had to do. Dad didn't talk about it. So we blame him? No. I honor my dad. Don't ya'll ever talk bad about my Dad. He's my Hero. Semper Fi. Joseph Aloyisous Nauer, Jr. United States Marine. I love my father and a support the United States of America, and I will until the day that I die.

  • @sherrb1158 Thank god for your dad and all the others that followed him. Semper Fi. '69-'85

  • @Photoman75 -- Actually, the USCG is under the Department of Homeland Security during peace time, and is under the Department of the Navy during war time, which means it is also under the department of defense. As well, the USCG at all times is a military service, and currently the smallest at that.

  • @EliteShnipes392 you are correct

  • @EliteShnipes392 couldnt have said it anybetter myself

  • Lol go to 2:49 a Marine almost eats it oorah

  • I rember when I climbed the huge mountain and slain the dragon...

  • Actually...the USCG is the smallest

  • @oOChaosWolfOo -- Actually, the USCG is Department of Transportation.

  • @Photoman75 Nope. They operate under the Department of Homeland Security and, due to legal authority, can conduct military operations under the Department of Defense. They are a military branch, contrary to common misconception. My father was a Coastie, i know.

  • @Photoman75 wrong uscg is part of thr dod

  • @oOChaosWolfOo USCG is a component of the Department of Homeland Security.

  • If any of you are serious about enlisting into the USMC, make sure you read through the Future Jarheads Website. It is a site created by a Marine for future Marines. You can Google Future Jarheads, or follow the link on my profile page. Semper Fi!

  • Everytime I hear, see, touch, or breath a connection of a Marine, a place deeply touches my heart and soul. My father served Semper Fi in Nam, and was taken by the Lord 2 years ago through a battle of cancer. Watching these videos helps me griev. I cry everytime realizing how much he went unrecognized and unappreciated for his service. Regardless everyone's mixed opions on the war and government, All of you Few Good Men are amazing people and I have gratitude for you. I love you Daddy.

  • Home of the brave, and home of the tough, Semper Fi "Always faithful" and that's no bluff! They're mighty and true, they protect our freedom for me and you. Honor Courage and commitment is what they're taught to do. It's all about protecting the red, white and the blue! Marines will never retreat, break or bend, they're ready to fight, attack and defend. I respect our military, and proud to say,God Bless this country and our brave men and women everyday, I'M PROUD TO BE AMERICAN, I LOVE THE USA !

  • Mr Photoman, that was excellent.

  • i could of joined any branch but if you want to be the best you got to join the best

  • biggest marine corps video motivation ever

  • "When there is sand in your teeth and sweat in your eye. the mud swallows your boots and you stink to kingdom come. when your up through the night so that others may sleep. And you offer your life so others may live. And it makes you happy? Then you know. your one of them.. The Few.. The Proud.. The Marines."

  • im very proud to wear this uniform, i wear it with honor.

best day on the planet... november 10th 1775

  • Boot Camp Date: August 8th!!

  • OOOH RAHH...ooh rah...

  • can anyone tell me why the marines makes up only 6% of the us fighting force? you would think it would be larger considering 1 marine equals 10 any other soldier?

  • @chatanwarrior the answer is in your question..1 Marine equals 10 of any other. Marines dont have to be large in number, for they are the World's Finest Fighting Force. Semper Fidelis

  • I respect our military, especially the Marines, there's something about them, that is so special to me, Duty, Honor and Country, is all about USMC,Brave men and women protect you and me. Real heros I say, not Labron or Kobe. its not the NBA. they will never leave a soldier behind HECK NO I say. • @TheStrongman37 Leaving for Parris Island March 15th. Good luck brother

  • @TheStrongman37 see you there same day brother oorah

  • cant wait myself to go !! ahhhh!!!

  • great video

  • I was grunt with 2/4 and have had many experiences with "special forces", Green beret, Navy Seals, Delta forces, and C.I.A.. Nothing compares to Marine corps infantry!!!! "Special forces" are a bunch of ego driven dumb asses with expensive toys! We do more with less, still applies. Semper Fi, Chesty is still in charge.

  • 7:01 - 7:35 gave me chills. Semper Fi

  • 92/96 3/2 Kilo. I still get goose bumps thinking of the day when I was dismissed on the parade deck at Paris Island on Sept 11, 1992 from 3rd Battalion 3086. I felt like I was going to explode with emotions. It is hard to describe. Once I became a Marine and even today I can not retreat. I would and will die first. Remember it is a mans responsibility to protect his friends and family. It is an honor to die for them. The Corps states God, Family then Corps. I like it. Semper Fi

  • i think the part at the end is the most important part. what he says sets us apart from everyone else and it will intill the end of time.

  • ARMY- Ain't Ready for Marines Yet

  • its like bushido and the way of the Samurai, honor courage, pride, the prowess to outwit your enemies

  • Ohhhh Rahhhh. I'm just a USMC Brat... birth and adoptive father, Officer and Grunt... One war vet and one not.... There is NO explaining who and what Marines are, you either know it or you don't, you either see and feel it or you can't. I can't even explain why I'm partial to them lol. Alll I can say is: MMMMMMMMARINES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd have no one and nothing else in my life.

  • Leaving Jan 11 for Parris Island. Can't fucking wait

  • @warguy911 july 12th for PI. Good luck

  • @warguy911 good luck

  • "starts with recruiting, it goes all the way to the tombstone" . Well put sir.

  • typical for the marines to drag the other branches thru the mud, shows their loyalty and character right there

  • Hoo-FUCKING-Rah.

    July 7, 2010. Can't fucking wait.

  • You knowpeaceandlove.... The 70's are gone hippie crap like that has long ago died. The Marine Corps men and women that have given their all made it possible for you to speak that trash. I didn't fight for you however.... I fought for the country that you I presume live in and if that's the case I hear Cuba, Iraq and Afgan. are great this time of year go visit and STAY!! Semper Fi Devils!

  • Anyone who wants to become a Marine one day, there is a link on my profile page that goes to a web site for FUTURE MARINES that you should read through.

  • It's not really all that hard to explain...just say MARINE!

  • This propaganda bullshit is amazing. Brainwashing young people into thinking their is honor or something great about violence and fighting illegal war. Sad!!

  • @2ALLPEACEANDLOVE i thinked your a little brainwashed yourself man do u know how much honor there is in being a marine see you dont under staND BEcause ur not one of them

  • @2ALLPEACEANDLOVE Fuck off, your not recruiting anybody in your Revolution/Riot trash...

  • @2ALLPEACEANDLOVE Walk a mile in Marine shoes, then talk. Until then, don't make a fool of yourself. We Marines busted our ass to earn this Title PERIOD! Talk about brainwashed, you have probably been blinded by the fact there are people in this world who would like nothing more than to destroy the USA. These people in our Armed Forces are our thin protectorate line. Believe me, they don't ask for a thank you, they just do it. For sad and unappreciative cumquads like you, you're welcome!

  • Going to MCRD San Diego May 24th! I cant wait

  • Aww dude, you are so fucking lucky. I go in September. god luck bro.

  • @matthew562 I'm going too but i leave May 10th! Good luck out there

  • Going to MCRD San Diego on May 24th. cant fuckin wait!

  • Cgar182 why would you even say do you want to make money serving your country its not about the money you make its about the pride you have behind what you do, the courage you know you have to get the mission/job done, and the ability that lets you give up the most important things just to do something you know you may not survive. Thats what being a Marine is like, and being in any branch of U.S. Military.

  • I love the Marines, their values and their traditions, but in terms of training, the SEAL's definitely have a harder time

  • But the SEALs are an elite part of the Navy. They are talking about services in this. As a whole the Marines have the toughest training. The Marines have an elite force too. That's Marine Force Recon or whatever it's called now.

  • @rainbowfirewave Really? The SEALs have a much higher washout rate than the Marines do. It takes about 2 years before a SEAL will ever see combat.

  • @Jp4baseball if you want a for man team to sneak behind enemy lines and shout half a dozen men in the backs then go seals. If you want some one to fight your wars for you out numbered while the enemy knows there coming then you want the MARINES.

  • there are only two types of people that understand Marines

    the Marines themselves

    and their enemies

  • @USMCM249gunner Well and you left you the woman & families behind the Marine. So i say there are 3people

The marine themselves, His woman and family, and yes the Unlucky SOB who becomes our enemy

  • @USMCM249gunner

You couldn't of said it any better...

  • 1! 2! 3! 4! I Love Marine Corp !!!

  • To anyone wanting to become a Marine, there is a site linked on my profile page. It goes to a FUTURE MARINE WEB SITE.

It is in your best interest to read through it and to learn form it.

    Semper Fi

  • Im going to be a marine. But I keep asking myself if im ready to die. Yes. I just fear for my family

  • damn that makes me wanna go even more now

  • VERY CUTE !

  • For all of you arguing about SF dont bother go through the training and do it instead of watching it on youtube and if you already did you would not be talking about it like you do. do something with your life. Semper fi brothers

0311 infantry lead the way boys

  • Semper Fi

  • I'm going to Paris Island 06-07-2010 and the wait is killing me.

  • I am a USMC recruit, going in 2010. the basic is the hardest thing i will ever do. but i must do it. I will rise to the challenge. Earn the title of U.S. Marine.

  • you're not a recruit if you are not at bootcamp ; as of now you're a Poolee.

  • chow by chow, sunday by sunday...all you need to know about basic.

only the few will step up to the challenge, but as a marine...basic isn't the hardest thing you will ever do.

  • You are wrong the marines do have a SF its called Force recon. For the people comparing the marine with seals, rangers, green berets ,and so on you should stop talking they are VERY different things. Marine have the hardest BASIC traning out of any USA military. As for Force recon marines there training is just as hard as any other SF. You cant really compare or SAY any one is best there all trained to do different things.

  • its pretty clear that Seals are the best trained SF in the US. aside from SF, the Corps is the best trained military force in the world...but beside that, Seals are top elite force in the world; besides British SAS

  • Well SEALs are the best at what they do. Don't forget about Delta and the other Spookys that don't get talked about. SEALs are just the most widely known.

  • and MARSOC

  • whos the marine at 6:30? My friend met him a couple months after she graduated from marine bootcamp at the cake ceremony

  • That is General James Conway, the Commandant of the Marine Corps.

  • @Photoman75 Yeah General James Conway, haha My name is Nathanael Conway, Unfortuanatly we're not related.

  • @Photoman75 as of 8 weeks ago, not anymore

  • @Photoman75 the new commandant is General James F. Amos

  • @raflim

Who the marine at 6:30 is? WHO IS THIS MARINE? I cannot believe you asked this question.

    I am dissapointed.

  • what behind that title?somebody has to do it, the answer to that question will be answered as you join the marines, they sacrifice a lot so others may live in peace, a few good men

  • Semper-Fidelis, no greater service and no greater sacrifice

  • Rangers Lead The Way.

  • yea, once the Marines have cleared the way for them! hahaha OORAH

  • First to Fight!!

  • first in last out. there are not special force in the Marine Corps, why? because they dont need them!

  • Agreed, but the United States does not "need" the Marines. They are wanted by the people, that's why they have stuck around so long.

  • the US does need Marines...they're the military force in the US that are prepared to deploy within 24hours. the Army takes a while to take off.

  • When people say the U.S. doesn't need the Marines, they wan't us there, it is more of a morale boost to hear, it isn't taken negatively. Yes we do provide a service that no other branch currently serves however the statment just means that we really don't do anything that the Army couldn't do eventually. It's just that we have such a legacy and such an amazing record of successes that the people want the Marines because that name represents the security of the country.

  • Good shit! OOOHRAH! Marine from Camp Lejeune 5/10. Semper Fi Marines and stay Frosty!

  • who´s got the harder recruit training drill>>Marines or navy seals???

  • i would say marines, but ive not done any research into navy seals training. But i mean, cmon its "navy".

  • I hate when dumb ppl talk. Comparing Boot camp with SF training lol.

by the way who in the hell U think fixes hurt Marines.......NAVY.

  • you cant compare regular boot camp to special forces training

  • I am a Marine 2/5 Fox Co etc., and I had some shit birds in my unit whom I felt sorry for.

  • im joining as soon as i get out of high school im a freshmen

  • Same here but I'm a sophomore. ooh-rah

  • Hehe, I like that "Little man syndrome" saying.

My DI told me that I had it 6 years ago during Boot.

I finally understand what he meant.

    Semper Fi SSgt. Harris (SDI)

  • man ive wanted this my whole life i cant wait ima sophmore and cant wait thx to all who served and all who will

  • You and me both.

  • I love you Marines ! Thank you for Everything you did then and do now!!! Semper Fi .

  • To the future Devils remember its better to sweat in training than bleed in battle.. Stay salty.. And if a Butter bar tells you somthing do it, but make sure your NCO tells you how to do it the right way later lol

  • OHH RAH DEVILS

  • i leave for the marines in Dec. and i cant wait to understand and live....what you guys are talkin about

  • November 10th will forever be my birthday. Becoming a US Marine is a sense of pride that can not be completely understood by anyone that hasn't earned the title. After 6 years of active duty service I will always have a Marine mentality when doing anything. I will accomplish my mission; I will take care of my own.

    SEMPER FI Devil Dogs!!!

  • Uhh Rahh!!!

  • i earned the title and i still dont understand it.. i hate it SOO much. but i love it even more. and i cant help it.. its weird

  • I'm not as lean, not as mean as I use to be, but for ever I will be called MARINE.....Semper Fi Marines, not just a saying, a way of life

  • its an honor to just b called the word "marine" "devil dog" leatherneck" or even a "jarhead". only th e ppl who have died for this country no the real meaing of the "THE TITLE"

  • "THE TITLE"

It cannot be inherited, nor can it be purchased. You and no one alive can buy it for any price. It is impossible to rent and it cannot be lent. When you alone and our own have earned it with your sweat, blood and lives. You own it forever, The title, "UNITED STATES MARINE".

  • OORAH!

  • Semper Fi, something you wont understand till your one of the few, the proud, the marines.

  • My Son is a Marine.. God bless them all!

  • OORAH! Marine Devil Dogs!!!! Your best friend or your worst nighmare!

  • OORAH, This is one of the best Marine videos out in the world!

  • thats because you're a fat ass and can not accomplish what any other marine has! Semper Fi

  • Is that 2nd Battalion PT field at Parris Island

  • looks a bit too serious

  • I can't wait to join the USMC. I'll be in bootcamp in about six months from now. I get goosebumps thinking about it. I love my country and my friends and i want to do them proud. OOOH RAAAH!

  • hahaha the first guy was a sdi in my company like a year ago hahaha small corp

  • Thank you Marines

  • Semper Fidelis Devil Dogs!

  • OORAH

  • i toast the brotherhood AND NOW GO GET SOME!!!!!!

    Hollywood Marine

    1988/1992

  • OOHFUKINRAH DEVILDOGS!!!

dats why only us Marines understand...and it takes a Marine to understand us...band of brothers 4evr

  • Marines, you are the best!

    Semper Fidelis!!

  • marines..alot of em are good ppl n always doin good things i give mad respect for them so da ones who be talkn shit u guyz better stfu cuz these ppl sacrafice their lives so u can get a better life....so semper fi my devil dogs

  • I'm in the Army. I know. But one thing that I see is that very ad on tv about the army is about money and bonus. The Marine ad is just that. The rich history about being a MARINE. and I always see that in the army, not many take the pride like Marines take pride. If I can go back in time and do it over, I would join the Marine just to feel that brotherhood bond that every Marine has talk about.

  • Im really looking forward to joining. i leave this summer for basic... im nervouse and have a bunch of mixed emotions... but god dammit i cant wait!

  • that may be the smartest comment ive ever heard come out of a soldiers mouth. Glad to see some of you guys get what pride in service is about

  • The Army and the Marines may be different branches but they are still united under the same flag.

Every serviceman has a lot to be proud of.

  • I respect what you just wrote , your justs a soldier with a mirines heart in my opinion. i got a hunch, from what iv seen... youll end up a us marine YOU GOT THE HEART

  • oorah

    semper fi!!!

  • Im also from Scandinavia Denmark. The danish people dont hate America. I will do my best to become a marine.

  • Sometimes I wish I was an american. But Im swedish, we are a fucking communist liberal country, we dont giva a shit about the military, the goverment only do cutbacks, but the US take pride in the soldiers. I envy you.

  • I'm glad you support us. You are a welcome change from all the other Europeans that hate America because they are ignorant.

  • We don't hate you guys, it's more a culture thing.

In your country people actively go and serve and other people are proud of them.

Here, you have to serve a short time if you are male you have no choice (unless you are rejected during muster). It is even considerd good sport, to get out of this compulsive serving by faking an illness or what not.

Then again, some here belive that your reasons for starting the last war were a bit fishy.

War is never the answer, especially not a pre-emptive one.

  • I'm German and I look forward to join the USMC as an officer....hope the naval academy takes me..Semper Fidelis my brother

  • hey i am a german in the usmc enlisted , ohhrahh
