Anyways, nice job on beating the game i never could! thanks for lettin me see the endin. that fight was cool when you where entering the earths atmospere and you slowly started seeing the earth. That ending was a lot better than ive seen a lot of games, turns around and flys off like a boss

Great run, all in one life! I tried so hard to get beat the game, judging by how vivid the first few levels were. I don't think I made it past lvl 5. :( I wonder if I still have this...

I'm in the same boat man! I loooved this game as a kid, and always got to the second to last boss before either dying to just giving up. Finally I can rest knowing the conclusion and how close I was.

Just might have to pick it up again though, I recently scored a working Genesis and controllers at Goodwill for 20 bucks

You think this is hard? Try Crazy Hard mode, where only one hit is fatal. That oughtta make for a fun time when you're trying to avoid the Pig Star Core, during the re-entry phase...

By the way, has anyone here ever tried this: Enter the final room of the Pig Star (the one with the escape pod). Charge up your engine pack and hold Down for like 20 seconds. Sparkster will then suddenly jump backwards and hides his face kinda like a ninja. No idea what it's good for, though pretty neat.

You can do that anywhere. Basically, if you overcharge the jetpack, it backfires - the face covering is soot. :)

It even tells youthat in the manual. :D

btw thoose who cannot properly figure out that code at the end of this video to unlock very hard mode the code is

press down 6 times, up 2 times and down 2 times you will hear spakrster's voice when you have put in the right code then press the start button then go to options to check on difficulty and there you go Very Hard mode is available.

The English version just has different level start screens, slightly different sounds, and a different beginning. No easier/harder than any other.

Also, if you play it on easy levels, you may get the same ending, but you don't get to play the last part (The escape pod) and it tells you to try harder next time.

Didn't make any difference to me! I was 7, so I was pretty happy to beat it on Normal.
