The patches you use are amazingly close to a real guitar. I am torn between getting a NL3 or 2xl, some people say the thinness of the 2xl makes it hard to use. |\|ord definitely makes some of the coolest synths around

Are you deaf? I have yet to encounter anything that sounds like a real guitar. Sure, dist the shit out of anything and it will sound like a digital dist guitar but the problem is that it's hard simulate how the strings operatate on the real thing.

I guarantee if you played just audio from 1:07 people would think they are listening to an electric guitar. The acoustic properties of a guitar maybe not be 100% replicable in synthesis, but I never claimed he did. I said it was close. The harmonic interaction of notes can be replicated on any polyphonic instrument. Occurrences such as sympathetic tones, harmonic overtones etc...are not owned by guitar.
