is it as simple as it looks or is there something clever inside? i have been trying to make a standing wave resonator for ages and i cant get the little bugger to work
@lendoggtheking Took me awhile too. What may be tough are the heat exchangers. I use copper wire 60 strand per inch mesh held in place by a ring of copper. The stack for a standing wave engine is looser than for a traveling wave engine (see some pyrex tube versions). Take a look at my other video, Inside a Thermoacoustic engine to see the exchangers. Other thing to worry about is thermal bridging across the exchangers. Only connection here is teflon tape.
