It is illogical, for example, that DS is recognised as an emanation of a Buddha by Dalai Lama himself, and then now DL says he's a spirit. How can an attained being like Dalai Lama make such a "silly mistake?"
The most ironic part is the more they Ban Dorje Shugden the more famous He becomes and the more Dorje Shugden centres grow and grow. Isn't weird that something bad and the Ban can have such a positive effect?

A relatively minor deity in this case Dorje Shugden had been elevated in error some 5oo years ago . And in this material world, it seems all too often is too tempting for many to worship deity which promises immediate worldly gains.
Make sure you do all your homework folks! I feel personally that the Dalai Lama has been too nice and has been too reluctant to come out with this issue until very recently although warnings about this deity have existed since 5th Dalai Lama.

He is going to court for goodness sakes and being trialed! This is not good for any democratic leader of a country - why would he risk this just for one practice? And also, the truth that many of the reasons for the ban are not logical or aligned to what we learn in Dharma.
It is illogical, for example, that DS is recognised as an emanation of a Buddha by Dalai Lama himself, and then now DL says he's a spirit. How can an attained being like Dalai Lama make such a "silly mistake?"

and this "ban" arose because Dalai Lama suddenly "realised" that all these years of practice and propitiation to DS was a "mistake". This practice was a "mistake" of all the great lamas like pabongkha rinpoche, and even of his own teachers, Trijang & Ling Rinpoche.
Very dangerous once you start saying your own lama's teachings to you were a mistake. If that was a mistake... then what ELSE could also be a mistake? The entire basis of your dharma knowledge/practice becomes uncertain!!!

A relatively minor deity in this case Dorje Shugden had been elevated in error some 5oo years ago . And in this material world, it seems all too often is too tempting for many to worship deity which promises immediate worldly gains.
Make sure you do all your homework folks! I feel personally that the Dalai Lama has been too nice and has been too reluctant to come out with this issue until very recently although warnings about this deity have existed since 5th Dalai Lama.

there is a book by the DL, where he says: everybody has a right to practice his or her own religion and we should support them. AS LONG AS the religion doesn't result to violence and think that killing a life for some reason is acceptable. And I think, from the video, DL says that DS followers are willing to do violence in the name of their Deity.

from what i see, DS followers are forbidden to go into some shops in India. they get beaten up. they get labeled as traitors. the DS worship is not forbidden only when the followers hide. they're even scared to go out sometimes.
all because of what DL "advices". that advice is still hypocritical, and look how negative the outcome is. violence and hate. DL is responsible for all this, and for ruining what Buddhism should be.
