There is no argument that Pacquiao is the greatest boxer in the modern day era (post leonard/Hearns/Hagler). Oscar De La Hoya, Tito Trinidad, Mike Tyson, Holyfield were all great fighters but none of them had the sustained success that Pacquiao has had. He's on an incredible run.

Cotto was doing fine until he got smashed that 2nd time. He was even winning that round until Manny lifted him with that upper cut.
Personally, I don't think Cotto is washed up. He's still got a lot of bounce and he's got good speed. He was even trying to match speed with Manny and Mosley during their fights.

The Pac today is nothing like the one in the Morales/Marquez fights. Back then he was often off balance, dropped his guard, over pursued, bad footwork, and undeveloped left hook. Just one dimensional. Pac only survived serious injury due to a good chin, stamina and power. However, in Morales II you see the emergence of the new Pacquaio as you see more fully today. He stalks patiently with guards up, bobs and weaves with footwork, power left hook, and is more explosive.
I love the Marquez fight, but Marquez will be in the hospital after the fight. Pacqauio was young when Marquez fought him to a draw, the second fight Marquez was definitely an overall fighter than Pacquiao but he was floored hence the one point decision, but thus third one would be a massacre.

Cotto, Margarito, Barrera, and all of those who bit the dust against Manny would not have even ranked within the top ten in their weight division back in the late 70s to 80s. Boxing level has really dropped. On the other hand, Manny would have done a great job even back then. Margarito would have been renamed Margarita after the loss. Gayweather, too, would have been ban from the ring for being a sissy.

Cotto was doing fine until he got smashed that 2nd time. He was even winning that round until Manny lifted him with that upper cut.
Personally, I don't think Cotto is washed up. He's still got a lot of bounce and he's got good speed. He was even trying to match speed with Manny and Mosley during their fights.
I think he'll beat Margarito when he finally meets him again. His footwork is a lot better.

@010bobby Dude, David Tua is only 5'9 and Dwight Muhammad Qawi (International Hall of Famer) was only 5'5.5 and fought in the Cruiser, Light Heayweight and Heavyweight. Qawi fought even Evander. Its not hard to bulk up, especially with the highest level athletes.
Also, Roy moved up in to heavyweight and he was still extremely fast. Its gonna be the same for Pacquiao. In fact, he's already doing it, since moving up from 128 pounds to 147.

Props to pacman for delivering exciting fights but man he eats alot of avoidable leather. fights like a true champ I must admit but it's not the smartest way to play the game u know. @ 1:56-2:02 Manny after almost knocking Cotto out again hugs him to prevent him from falling. Cotto is thankful and winks at him @ 2:00. Pac-Man! TRUE SPORTSMENSHIP!
