  • Your video is popular on Thimphu

  • stunning lid .i.. ..i.

  • Toshiba sucks. Their customer service sucks. Buy toshiba if you want to be out several hundred dollars cuz after you buy and customer service gives you a run around, you'll have to buy another computer.

  • @cooljeansguy

Sorry but I have the exact opposite personal experiences.

No, I don't work for Toshiba, but it'd be sweet if I did.

  • Bought mine in September 30th 2009, now it won't boot at all. Commonly known problem with this model, and Toshiba won't suggest anything that will solve it :-( what a waste of my money, I did luv it while it was working...

  • @Uolive18 does yours go to a blank black screen when you turn it on?

  • 'Under the bezel' lol Why does that sound so uncomfortable?

  • i have 1 but it work good

  • looks like shit though. i want to buy a netbook for the girlfriends studying. this one is so ugly it has zero gift appeal

  • @dawgunna its in blue too

  • This is what you call a hot chick, unlike the sluts that most men fall for.

  • you didn;t mention the sound - it sucks

  • sexy little thing :D

i just love the apple-ish keyboard

  • Excellent well-presented review, thanks for posting.

  • best battery? are you kidding me? The Nokia Booklet has a 12 hour battery and it doesn't stick two feet out the back either.

  • @johnmonk66 dude, this was posted "long time ago" for technology

  • what and ugly looking computer who would want to buy that?

  • she said unit lol

  • Typing with the Toshiba NB205 is actually a bit harder~ since I'm a touch typist.. the keyboard is a bit small but it's still really damn awesome system.. especially as a law student.. it's a life saver

  • @Rice8Azn I actually don't have much trouble typing with the keyboard, and I'm a touch typist as well. Then again, that's just me. What kills me with the system is the "Fn" key, for sometimes it wouldn't show the Flash cards after pressing the key. But, I have alternatives to that, so I don't have to worry about it that much. Also, the mono speaker needs to be loud all the time.

  • the only redeeming quality of this netbook is its battery life...i bought this last year and the touch pad is the biggest POS ever!!! it jumps all over the place...does what it wants to do...i hate it...furthermore, the keyboard is so randomly sensitive that i can be typing and the cursor will disappear or erase my attempts to get anything done all together..boy do i regret buying this junk...buyer be warned...

  • dont like the battery bit sticks out too much

  • @TheMorningCoffee The only differance is the size and the lack of a CD drive in the netbook

  • is she chewing gum?

  • I just like the way she talk...U look nice girl.

  • i have this netbook....im on it right now. its awesome! everything about it. some people say the speaker sucks and its not the best but not terrible. i love this netbook!

  • I was really upset with the volume of the speakers until I messed with the settings. Maybe it's just me but doing this improved my volume a lot.

Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Realtek HD Audio Manager > Sound Effects > Equalizer > Jazz

I found Powerful to be the loudest but Jazz sounds better.

  • @Magasaur161 Whats the difference between a netbook and a laptop? lol srs question

  • @Magasaur161 I agree. I have this netbook it's awesome. The battery life helps out a lot. I usually get 8 hours.

  • @Magasaur161 I agree. I have this netbook it's awesome. The battery life helps out a lot. I usually get 8 hours.

  • @Magasaur161 I agree. I have this netbook it's awesome. The battery life helps out a lot. I usually get 8 hours. Also the keyboard is really easy to type on.

  • yah but i would not recommend to put songs on it ( or not many) its just to small of a laptop to handle thousands of songs

  • yah toshiba is amazing. i have a laptop thats still running n its gone through hell

  • i agree. hp does suck. i actually had 2 mini hp laptops. they sucked big time. toshibas last for ever. awesome quality!

  • hp sucks balls. Do some research, toshibas are known for lasting long and being a durable quality product!

  • Yes I do agree HP does suck. I used to work at a computer store, and I mostly worked on HPs. Their printer quality is acceptable. Among my top brands of laptops, I would choose Toshiba, then Asus.

  • @tkl0085 yess dude i got a tv from toshiba when i was 10 and its still workin now that im 18!

  • @tkl0085

    what about acer?

  • HP Mini's are better.

    Just my opinion.

  • @teddyberry12

yer i can watch youtube vids fine

havnt download itunes for it yet

but i think it would be abit slow

  • Speaking of video editing, has anyone found a netbook with a firewire port?

  • How would this laptop be on editing my videos?, It seems to have enough HD space.

  • i have this netbook as i am typing this responce and yes easternbushytail it would be perfect for doing that.

  • @Savagex95810 thanks for the reply

  • It barely plays videos....I'm taking this crap back!!!

    Getting iMac insted

  • @firstbest000 god for u.

  • @firstbest000 forgot ask how much r u paying for i mac? 1k$? another gd thing for u.

  • Comment removed

  • @firstbest000 its not meant to play videos..hence the name netbook...you obviously don't do your research

  • I was answering a question if it is good for editing videos...and the answer was:It barely plays them!

  • How does this compare to the Acer Aspire One AOD150-1920?

  • @bluekarma4

    Toshiba > Acer

  • HP/Compaq > Toshiba

  • you guys REALLY need to start including whether memory can be upgraded in these reviews....

  • probably not technically possible yet but im going to wait till they can produce the whole top lid as a screen with no bezel at all, that would look great on a notebook

  • @Danster82 Toshiba will probably spin off an entire differnet model for the none bezel. But yeah...I have a HP Mini 5102 (review) and it has the same "defect": a monstrous bezel.

  • can you remove the big bulky battery and use the computer without it?

  • you might be able to get a small 3 cell battery with a shorter life

  • got one of these a couple of weeks ago. by far the best NetBook on the market. I recommend upgrading the stock ram from 1 to 2GB.

  • can you run windows 7 with the upgraded 2 ram?

  • Yes, it comes preinstalled with win7

  • shes cute

  • Very nice netbook

  • im getting the pink oneee

  • i just bought this where is the wlan switch

  • TORshiba lol

  • I really wish that they showed them in action, like playing a video for a few seconds, just to see how well it performs. [Not the computer performance, just how it performs with video/music.

And what does she mean a "sleep and charge"? I don't know this term.

    I'm planning on buying this!

  • it means that the device can be closed or in standby mode and devices that are plugged in to be charged will still be charged while it is "sleeping"

  • She tells you what sleep and charge is in the video. Weren't you listening? 1:16

  • Yes, I was listening, I heard sleep and charge but I was probably distracted and missed that part..no need to be rude.

  • a sleep and charge is when u can turn off the computer but still charge things using that usb slot

  • or 205

  • i just got the nb280 today i love it so far it has windows 7 on it

  • sweet, now avail with 250GB HD and upgrade to 2MB RAM - bought the new windows 7 starter version and paid the extra 80 bucks to upgrade to 7 home premium. Should get it all next week after the official release. Can't wait!

  • do that for a 13inch with 250-500 GB you will have me more interested.

  • forget the netbook, that's a hot chica

  • "There's a shift key located in the right position, right above a enter key really nice..." WTF???

There's also a beautiful "A" key, followed by a well positioned "S" key, right above a nice "w" key...

  • does it make any noise??? cuz im gonna get a mini for school and i think this is the one i want, i just have to know if it will make noise that will interrupt a quiet class. Thanks!

  • How is the web cam?

  • why no CD/DVD player? anyway F@@@ that this is one slick laptop optics are out!

  • danvoncar: netbooks do not have cd/dvd drive. you have to buy an external one if you want to use it with your netbook. Netbook is cheap and compact. You get what you pay for.

  • Most, if not ALL, netbooks don't have a CD/DVD player.

  • DVD drive = bigger, heavier , uglier and more expensive. Buy an external if you really need it. But you won't DVD/CD's are drifting away online downloads are the only way now

  • Or it would make more sense to buy a regular laptop if somone really wanted a built-in CD/DVD Drive or a bigger screen.

  • those bastards make Joana hold the damb thing the entire video! they should seriously invest in a coffee table or laptop stand. is that even safe? someone call the union!

  • can anyone recommend me a case por this Netbook, since it has the 6 cell battery popping out from the back I don't know which one to choose. Thanx

  • I'll definitely buy this one because Joana is so pretty.

  • someone SEND ME 300 VIA PAYPAL PLEASE

  • @ tallplayer43

You should check out Google docs. You can type documents and make different types of presentations and it saves them online so you can access them from any computer. I think they also added a thing so you can work offline aswell. I don't use it yet but when I get a netbook I will.

  • i hope this isnt tooo stupid of a question.. i have a laptop already but its a 17 inch dell studio so its pretty big im off to college and i dont want to be carrying it to my classes so im looking for a tiny version just for typing notes and what not.. aaanywyas the question is can i install microsoft word on it and what not because i heard there is no cd slot to install it

  • You can download it on the internet

  • Yea download the trail from microsoft website then enter your serial!

  • yes i did you can get an external one or just download it

  • How do I download a dvd drive?

  • GOOD REVIEW¡¡¡

  • Go with white...clean and the reason mac's have been so loved...it's aesthetics and taste,,,white rules...

  • they charge you an arm and a leg for a diff color.

  • Same style as the wind and s10-2 thou far better keyboard track pad... I've owned asus 100he (excellent) wind u-100, with a 9 cell batterym great for os x but feels clunky a very cheap... I just bought the Lenovo s10-2 my favourite so far as it just seems very fast and netflix runs without a hitch... I'll look into the tosh once the osx86 crowd get aboard...

  • Haha, you are right. Thank you!

  • Amazing netbook....I will have to buy this as a Christmas present to myself.....

  • I don't know what color to choose! BLUE, BROWN, or WHITE? I don't want black cuz its just too common!

  • Gorgeous. The PERFECT size. And the battery life alone is enough to make this my choice. The comfortable, easily touch-typeable keyboard would be another. The nice big touchpad cinches it. Wi-fi, Bluetooth, 3 USB ports, 3-in1SD card slot. This is the one.

  • Reviews say the boot time is horrible! compared to all the other netbooks!

  • due to some of the bloatware installed. it's fine after you uninstall them.

  • I timed one in the store several times--17-18 seconds average boot-up time. If that's horrible, I can live with it! Seems lightning-fast to me compared to any computer I've had previously.

But I think taking the installed junk out of the startup menu and a couple of little tweaks can speed it up even more.

  • i got mine a week ago

the only bad thing is the speakers my battery isnt wobbly.

It doesnt lok cheap in my opinion

  • I got mine. First impressions:

    - The sound is not very loud

    - The battery is a bit wobbly.

    - The silver paint looks cheap

    - The keyboard types less comfortable than the one on my EEE pc 901.

    - The install time is long.

    - There is no sleeve, just like the EEE 1005HAl. I don't like this.

This is really a step in the wrong direction in my eyes. They didn't make this netbook for mobile use.

  • in performance which laptop is better? this or the hp mini 110

  • toshiba nb205 is better with atom 1.66ghz while the hp has 1.6ghz. Makes a slight but noticeable differance in speed.

  • Thanks agian..I watched it again because I'm thinking of buying one :)

  • How is the touchpad on this one? Is it multitouch? does it scroll nice (I hate the touchpad on the 1005HA-M)?

  • they touchpad is great. Nice and big. I have heard that it is multitouch..however I have not been able to figure out how to do it..so maybe it doesnt?

  • Nice looking netbook, great video Joanna.

  • Stern stuff from Joanna. You people rock. Thank you very much for that video.

  • I agree this is a very good looking netbook.

  • between 11 and 13 inch is where the should have started with netbooks or i should a minibook, since it can do almost as much as a regular notebook.

  • I totally agree with u man. Right now, theres only 2 netbooks that has the screen size of 12inch, the samsung nc20 and dell mini 12. The nc20 is nice but it doesnt hav a lot of competition. Companies should pay more attention to the 12inch range

  • In the dell web site the mini 12 in basic specification is very simple, I dont like for that but is a nice netbook for the size of screen, Agree with you about tht 12' netbook is a little market.

  • Nice review :]

this is like the best 10.1 netbook out there ... starting only at 350

  • Thanks for the review :D
