am i blind, or is not obvious that he's taking the ball too close to him, the fundamentals are there, but his balance is poor and the shot is cramped. I personally think that your fore hand is much better than his hi10spro. Having said that, wouldn't take much to transform this into a nice stroke.
His stroke is to ugly, and his follow trough sucks.
TIP: if you're in a mach, and not taking on a drill, you have to change you're follow trough, cause if you're opponent will hit a quick one back, you're to late.
as i see it he hits hes balls with topspin just the very basic topspin not to much topspin because with that technique if hell stroke a flat forehand the balls will go straight to the net
@hi10spro He does what I used to do. He hits with body square to the ball. Benefit is more racquet control, but less power. Kinda like returning serve punch position. I got more power by doing two things. 1.) Turn body 90 degrees 2.) Hit off the front foot. Easy said / than done, right? To change these fundamentals requires massive change in my swing technique. From "flicking" to "pendulum swing...like a bowling". I have more power from less swing. Good luck.
I remember you gave me advice on extending my arm through my shots, and this man doesn't seem to need to do that. Is it because of the racket speed he's generating? The shoulder turn? Or is it that flat hitters don't need to extend through the ball as much?
ow...he gets a great turn of his shoulders than accelerates, I actually think the flaw is he doesn't extend the shot longer through the ball, but he gets a great shoulder rotation--I don't rotate that much...damn. and he's like 52...
here's the problem--you got semi-unorthodox guys who do something not textbook, but they've done it for so long, they're good at it. like me and my lack of knee bend and shoulder rotation...
He hits flat because of how late he is hitting the ball. He doesn't allow any low to high action on his swing. Looks like he is using an eastern forehand grip but hitting the ball like he had a continental. Thats why he can't open up . . . because he hits so late.
Just what I think. But thanks for the video and keep them coming. Love to see all the different style players you find. Wish you would post more matches though :).
Thank you. On behalf of everyone who subs to your videos Im not alone when I say . . . I really appreciate your efforts. You help a lot of people and I always look forward to learning something new.

Does he hit a very heavy ball with this technique ??
FairwayJack 2 years ago
pretty flat and fast not heavy
hi10spro 2 years ago
@FairwayJack
Not heavy because there is no forward extension in his stroke. My guess is that his shots tend to drop around the service line.
circuitdesign 1 year ago
@circuitdesign hmm that's a good observation, his ball isn't that heavy but pretty flat

I suggest he works on his footwork. That is why he hits flat cuz he practically have no footwork at all.
