  • IM NOT A JEEP GUY..CAUSE I LOVE LAND CRUISERS BUT THIS IS AWESSSOOMMMEEE!!!

  • @landcruiser105 LOL!! it's all good. we're big fans of D90's and, in addition to our Jeeps, we'd probably have one if they were sold here in the US new.

  • You responded to my other thing and I noticed in the moab trip you met at a parking lot near victoria gardens and was wondering if your based out of here??

  • @paintballguru95 we're in socal for sure but, more toward the coast

  • super jealous off all jeeps and trails great videos!!

  • That's pretty ingenious! Great idea! Thanks again!

  • Where did you get your side mirrors at?

  • @23peeweeduke i bought a blind spot mirror from pepboys and modified it so that i could just bolt it up to the door hinge :)

  • I wish we had a group like yours in Houston TX. Thanks for all your vids! Great footage on all of them.

  • @23peeweeduke thank you, we're so glad that you like them

  • Do you have spacers on the white wayalife jeep? If so, what size?

  • @23peeweeduke nope, running full width dynatrac prorock 60's with 20x10 spyderlock wheels that have 3.5" of back spacing.

  • 09:30 is da baddest jeep ive ever seen (in part 1 and 2) even though am not a fan of four doors but still,, its a sick one ,,, thumbs up if u agree!!!

  • bend your tailpipe at 4:46 ?

  • Them Jeeps are V6s, am I wrong?

  • @TheXcmt yup, just 3.8L v6

  • What kind/brand of wheels are on the White JK with the IPF fog lights?

  • @texasbradley we were running spyderlock wheels back then. we are now running the atx slabs - same thing without the stars

  • Oh I see it is by the video later on. My Uncle went through many time s in the 60's with a stock 1945 jeep with original military lights. Can't believe he got through those big rocks though.. Wonder if the were imported..

    mike

  • Is this the Rubicon in Auburn Calif. ???

  • What is the songs on this video? Also what size tires is on the white jeep with the stinger?

  • what size lift on the white one

  • Stock jeeps??

  • good movie ruined by terrible music.

  • @branch1234 so turn off your sound

  • @wayalife i did, id rather hear the revving of engines and tires on dirt then annoying music.

  • @branch1234 Then go drive. . . .

  • @branch1234 so then get out on the trail and make your own videos instead of sitting behind your computer watching ours. that way, you can have them be however you want.

  • @branch1234 fucking haters!!

  • People call me a loser for sitting on youtube for like an hour watching thes kinda vids but I'm addicted

  • @wayalife Hey i love how you guys edited the vid. What video editing program did you use? Thanks

  • @StevennClark thanks! we use adobe premier

  • TJ :D

  • @wayalife do you have a build up vid of your jeep?

  • @stratospro1 sorry, we've gone through so many changes over the years it would have been impossible to document it as a single video

  • @stratospro1 we don't but, we do get a lot of requests for one and, maybe we'll have to do that sometime :)

  • only if i had money so i could do that :/

  • amo los jeep rubicon y chile que tiene tantas montañas y cerros, créanme que acá es genial un jeep

  • @10:42, what light's are those shining under? It's a really cool idea, and I like that they're not LED's.

We have a 2007 Rubicon Unlimited, still bone stock. :(

  • @CSA95A28 if you can believe it, they are just cheap walmart platnum burner lights that you can get for about $18 a pair.

  • I have a 04 tj x (dana 35) with 4" lift, 33" SS, shittybilt winch, and dettiot lockers do you think I would have a hard time doing the rubicon? Btw im a big fan of your vids keep up the good work:)

  • @JackedupTJfromPSJ depends on the year and time of year you go but, for the most part, you should be able to make it. tj's are small enough that you can wiggle your way through a lot of things that a bigger jk would need to take on. just go real easy on the skinny pedal as that d35 of yours is not something i'd want to break on the trail.

  • @JackedupTJfromPSJ - The Dana 35's is a funny axle, sometimes you can beat the crap out of it and it's fine. We have a guy in our club that wheels his D35 with a OX locker, he finally warped the axles but never broke them after about five years of hard off-road. I pulled my D35 because it is very weak and I don't trust it, swapped it out with an 8.8 I built myself. To answer your question I probably wouldn't try the Rubicon with a spare set.

  • como c llama esa cancion?? what is the name of that song??

  • would i have to spend thousands of dollars of suspension upgrades on a rubicon to do this? or is the stock rubicon good enough??

  • @Ryann2891 well, you can technically run the rubicon stock but, it'd be a lot of work. i typically recommend at least 2.5" of lift, 35" tires, tow points front and rear and rocker guards as a bare minimum.

  • @Ryann2891 It's all about the lines. I've taken my suzuki samurai past some 50,000 dollar rigs, And I'm not even on coils, I'm on leaf springs I got 3,000 in my rig and do the trail at least once a year. Its a good experience, just remeber what you pack in you need to pack out. We need to keep the rubicon from getting closed down.

  • @MBarrettProductions ya i know a guy that as just a little jeep with a spring lift and lockers that outcrawled a pro driver and he had one of those 50,000 dollar rigs too he was really pissed a little jeep out crawled him lol

  • I am of Polish. In our off-road is a pleasure. I see that in your country like extreme off-road. :) POLSKA KOPIOWAC I NA TLANSALATOR !

  • @wayalife you probably have already been asked quite a few times but what lift is on your white JK?

  • @ringenberg2 as seen in this video, we were running a evo mfg long arm kit, 14" coil overs and evo lever system in the rear

  • I got a question for you, I recently got a 09 unlimited sahara (mostly on road driving so far, some deep sand, and uneven dirt roads). Does your suspension upgrade make the ride more stiff or is it a smoother ride? Thanks in advace.

  • @dre200112000 you can adjust your ride to be however you want with coil overs but for us, we have ours set so that the ride is much much smoother.

  • it is because of your video's my brother has let go of his HATRED for jeeps and now see's how amazing they are lol

  • Women Wheelers= Amazing

  • prooves 4 door jk's are good for bottoming out and thats it

  • weres this?

  • awesome videos, I've always wanted a rubicon and after watching this video it pushes me to go get one now but i just dont know if the 6 speed or the automatic will be better for this terrain, any suggestions?

  • also. songs are amazing

  • you know what.... there need to be more professionally done videos like this. dont get me wrong i love watching the homemade vids of people off roading. but something edited to the level of perfection this series is, is just something else and i want more. i hope to get out there with you all sometime aswell. how much would a jeep that could make it run me? (its gonna be a few years unfortunately but i want to do this so bad.)

I love the vid and love the jeeps!!! keep up the trailin!

  • awesome vid!! very impressed with the four door rubi.

  • Comment removed

  • Great vid..awesome images and amazing vistas ...saving up for a jeep myself now and hope to get out into the wild soon. Cannot seem to find part 1and 3 of the Rubicon series on YouTube. Would u be able to point me in the right direction? Thanks Gavin and keep up the amazing work

  • @thedadexperience you can only view them from a computer as youtube has blocked them from viewing on a mobile device.

  • I need to take my rubicon do stuff like this

  • what is the name of the song starting at 3:48 someone please ;)

  • mannn! i have been watching your videos for a while and went out and brought me a 2011 sahara put some 35 on it with 4.88 gears and a 3'' lift exhaust and an intake, didn't hit the trails yet building up the nerve but you guys are great , keep it up i am learning.

  • @andersonb44 that's awesome!! congrats on your new jeep :)

  • great video. makes my graveyard shift easier.

can't wait to get back out there.

  • if we got the whole world to experience this 'wayalife', there would be no wars, no battles of petty differences and everyone would be happier than most have ever experience their whole lives!!! AWESOME VIDEO.. most excellent camera and editing work!!

  • @somewhereone LOL!! thank you :)

  • @wayalife AT 5:05 was that an oxygen tank for diving? on the back left of the jeep?

  • @iQu3sTioNzi It was probably for the tires!

  • @WoahhitsKarennn well i figured that much.... just saying because my friend uses his diving tank to fill our quad tires when we offroad :)

  • @somewhereone That is absolutely true! You only live once why not make the best of it.

  • I really want a New Jeep Wrangler Rubicon but i wish Jeep offered the 4.0 engine in them. I own a '91 Jeep Cherokee limited and soon ill be looking for a Newer Jeep. Mine has 144,456 miles and i dont know if i just want to keep it until it dies if it ever does and buy a Rubicon or sell it and buy a Rubicon. Its easy buying a Jeep but selling it, its like selling your own kid.

  • @WedidLandONtheMOON honsetly, i've been a CJ owner and a TJ owner for a long time and, while the 4.0L was a nice engine, the 3.8L wasn't as bad as you seem to think it is and the new 3.6L pentastar is even better than the 4.0L in terms of performance.

  • @wayalife. The 4.0L performance wise is not better then the 3.6L true and it was a gas hog but i like the 4.0L because you can beat the shit out of it and it would keep going. Its just the 3.6 and the 3.8L engine is not as proven as the 4.0 is.

  • @WedidLandONtheMOON eh, the 3.8L has been around a long time, albiet in other chrysler products such as their mini-van and, i think it's been proven. we've been running ours for a little over 4 years now and have close to 100,000 miles on it. other friends of ours have more and, it keeps on chugging along. the 3.6L definitely hasn't been proven yet but, i have high hopes for it. either way, we're gonna wheel the piss out of it :)

  • youtu.be/nVBL_o7zmsM?t=5m17s

  • you should make a dvd

  • By the way what size lifts are most of you running? I have a 3" short arm do you think I should be ok?

  • @KaoskrewPB the TJ is smaller and narrower and so you get to run the trail a bit differently. yeah, you'll be fine.

  • Great videos... I love the jeep community. Always willing to lend a hand even if it sets them back.

I am hoping to have my TJ ready for the rubicon in a year... When I do I'll be going on the jamboree

    Thanks for the vids

  • Do y'all have sway bar disconnects or do you just use your electric disconnect? As always love the vids

  • @jrr1631 most of us have e-discos

  • You dont NEED a rubicon to do the rubicon trail lol. but it helps!

  • All your Videos are sick. Keep it up! I'm getting a wrangler now.

  • @DevalleeTheGreat yes and, you can get them at walmar for $18 a pair.

  • What exhaust system are you running on your JK?

  • @projectJK2008 dynomax rock crawler

  • great song!

  • These vids make me REALLY want a nice wrangler when it comes time to replace my Grand Am haha.

  • My dream to have a RUBICON and make that!

  • i lyd this vid before watchin it.......

  • Eu quero fazer essa trilha muito linda !!! pena que não é no estado de Santa Catarina Brasil !!! Parabéns muito bom o video.

  • love the jeep at 1:35

  • nice Video... Good songs!

  • @330bossman thanks, glad you liked it

  • wayalife, what kinda fenders you running on your rig? Its reallllllly nice by the way haha

  • @TeamGnar9 i am running trimmed down factory flares - the best out there. they look great, are super flexible/will not cause body damage and best of all, they're free!!

  • wayalife. Do all the Jks in this vid have automatic trannys?

  • @scs7369 most are but not all and not our JK.

  • Nice Jeeps man! These are the kind I hope to build or buy when I grow up to have some fun in. I plan on buying one and customizing it already, b/c I plan to be an IT

  • wayalife I like your video's keep up the good work hopefully I'll see you guys on the rubicon some time

  • nothing but jk 4 doors. don't mch care for them too much. not bad jeeps just not for me. irony of that is I'm an xj guy and the four door jks are like the love child of a xj and a wrangler.

  • during this vid i figured t i press the space bar u can pause the vid.

  • im doing the rubicon this year, my jeep's a 99 sahara wrangler with 33's a winch and a 4 inch lift. I see all you guys have 37's and at least 6 inches, will i do ok with mine?

  • @pissofff1 the trail is different every year and, depending on when you run it, sometimes harder and sometimes easier. this year, the snows kept on falling late into the year and there's still deep snow up there. it'll be tough going through the end of july for sure. having said that, you should be okay so long as you go with others who can help out. at tj is smaller and narrower and you should be able to wiggle around things as opposed to having to climb over them like you have to in a JK

  • Its like oh no the car flipped...OH WELL JUST FLIP IT OVER

  • What is the first song on here called and who is it by???

  • @dylanpeterson88 all the songs are listed in the credits at the end of episode 3

  • Great video quality, great soundtrack for all three parts. I wheel a Toyota but your crew seems like a good bunch a' people. Glad to see a family oriented group on the Rubicon. Keep the vids coming. Been to Barret Lake, Fordyce, Signal Peak? ALL GOOD

  • Man I love these vids. Ive been in the muscle car scene for awhile and am now getting into the offroading. I love it. Im hopefully about to buy a JK Unlimited. These are fantastic machines. Well done guys. I hope to be a part of something like this one day.

  • good video, but Im sorry, JKs just look silly with the doors off, because of the door support pillars, always reminds me of the guys who take the doors off of their blazers and broncos, it just isnt what Jeep is about for me, I'll stick to my TJ forever, top off, nothing but roll bars and a mesh bikini top if that, at least TJs could still drop the windshield too, Jeep lost focus about what a Jeep is with the JK (just an opinion)

  • @Jackyl82334 LOL!! it's all good and really, i used to feel the exact same way until we got our 4-door. after wheeling it, we sold our built up CJ7 running 35's and then a couple of years back, our TJ of 10 years running a 6" long arm kit, 37" tires and locked front and rear to buy another 4-door. hands down, the JK is simply a better rig on the trail.

  • What wheels are those on that white rubicon with the WAYALIF license plate??? The ones that sort of look like a star.

  • @gvagas1 spyderlock beadlock wheels

  • @wayalife hey man do you have a build thread anywhere cause I would love to see what all you have done to your jeep

  • @gvagas1 if you go to w w w . jk-forum . c o m and check out the profile for the user wayoflife, you will see specs there

  • Comment removed

  • 1 guy drives an FJ Cruiser...

  • This video is the best I have seen for giving the viewer a real sense of what off roading is all about.

Challenges, Friend Ships, Working Together, and danger. What a rush.

    Great job!

  • @TheCaneArtist thank you. we're so glad that you like our videos

  • which would you preffer for better offroading capabilities??? unlimited or the original wrangler?

  • @Puppetnut i've wheeled both and can tell you that the unlimited is more capable.

  • @wayalife whats your shock/tire setup? and how much lifted?

  • @matt98787 we are running 14" coil overs and running toyo 40x15.50's with about 5" of lift.

  • what size lift and tires does the TJ have? It seemed to do real well

  • @Kenzie3131 TJ's are much smaller and can wiggle around obstacles rather than having to take them on. this one just had 31" tires and maybe a budget boost and, if you've watched the whole series, it took days to complete this trail.

  • im gettin a stock rubicon unlimited or just a wrangler i cant decide, they are 2008's by the way (help me please)

  • @LEMONAID8 if you can afford the rubicon, i would get it.

  • @wayalife thanks i will most likly get one but the 4 door or what ever i can find

  • love the articulation on the first rig

  • Damn. that dudes axle tube got fucked up! I heard they started using shittier steel on the JK axles. That's weak. Was that a 44?

  • @slammo10 yes, this was a 44 but really, the JK 44 is just 30 with a 44 pumpkin. still, up until the JK, i had never seen an axle housing shatter like this before. sure, i have seen plenty bend or even come apart at the pumpkin but never shatter. what you don't know is that this is the 2nd axle housing that he's broken. but, in all fairness, of the hundreds of thousands of JK's that are out there, i have only seen or heard of about 2 dozen brakes like this.

  • @wayalife yea that's a pretty carnage break. Good thing you guys were prepared with the welder!

You guys did a great job with the video. really shows how radical that trail is. Can't wait to run it again this summer!

  • It would be cool if you put some small captions once in awhile stating where you are on the trail. granted some spots are unmistakeable, like little sluice, and gatekeeper.has been about 10 years since I have been up there and some spots look a little familiar but I'm just not sure. I remember "walker hill" was supposed to be tough but it was pretty easy for me.I made it to spider lake but did not try lucy

(we were by ourselves and first time AND a full size blazer). one of the best vids ever!!

  • jeep girls are the best.

  • just wondering what kinda pressure you guys are running in your tires, whatever your doing it obviously works very well but it doesnt look like you air down a ton, just a little. very nice video, those are some insane jeeps, and great drivers

  • @ripper3494 on a trail like the rubicon, we run about 8 psi but others in our group without beadlocks were running closer to 12.

  • im about to get a jeep..my first jeep and i was wondering what the difference between a sport and a rubi is if any?

  • @mrbadassSEAL a sport is a basic model jk with a dana 30 front axle. a rubicon will come with a dana 44 front axle, lockers, electronic swaybar disconnect and a 4.1 transfer case. if you can afford it, it's well worth the money to get.

  • @wayalife ok thanks alot : ) nice video by the way.

  • great vid and rigs

  • could a rubicon with a 4 inch lift and 33s make it on the rubicon?

  • @DallasStars248 is it safe to assume you don't have a JK? because, if you do, 4" is a lot of lift for just 33's. if you do have a TJ, yes, 4" of lift and 33's could make it. just make sure you have tow points front and rear, rocker guards and you don't go alone.

  • man! moby make mine loook so small

  • very cool, i drive a truck on 39.5s i would trade for a rubi any day.

  • WOW, Such a amazing video, great shots and editing. i hope someday i can make this grade of a quality video. =0) keep up the great work and keep on ROCKIN HARD

    SKULL CRUSHER ADVENTRUES.

  • Are those your daily drviers?

  • @iconhelmets absolutely :)

  • @wayalife those are beautiful and thats cool

  • @wayalife RIGHT ON DUDE!!! they would be mine 2 =D

  • the lights under the jeep how much and where did you gett them from?

  • @garebel053 got them from walmart for $18 a pair

  • did you guys need to use bigger fuel tanks to make the trip or was your factory tank more then enough

  • @steven6646 the factory tanks are enough on a JK

  • those water holes before Buckeye island lake are fucking deep! last time i went up there, i had 2 inches of water in the cab of my Comanche

  • Outstanding off-road; i adore it so damn much

  • What a cool experience, felt like i was there great vid!

  • Can anyone on here tell me where to get a pair of danas 30`s or 35`s ??

  • @CrossmanM you're looking for a "pair"? are you referring to the axle shafts? if so, you can get replacement shafts from your dealership or, you can get good chromoly shafts from most vendors out there like northridge4x4 . com

  • @wayalife Well i have a 94 wrangler. I finaly got articulation out of the front of it and started to crawl alot more and it just dosnt go anywhere i want lockers. what do you think i should get? I dont want to spend alot of money. Thank you for the reply btw

  • @CrossmanM well, it really depends on the kind of on-road conditions you see through out the year. if you live in an area where you see snow and ice, you really should look into getting a selectable locker like an ARB. they are expensive but, totally worth it. if you live out in the west and rarely see snow and ice, you could get a lunch box locker like an aussie locker. these are way cheaper but, can be trick on slick surfaces.

  • @wayalife yeah i live were there is no snow and the dessert is an hour away. So its alot of dirt hills and rocks..

  • @CrossmanM if that's the case, something like an aussie locker would work well for you. they are cheap, relatively easy to install and they work pretty good.

  • @wayalife you think you could send me a link?

  • @CrossmanM go to w w w . northridge4x4 . com do a search for aussie locker.

  • Do you have a division in Florida? I have a jeep that I use to do this
