Yes, they both claim to be "Christian"; but they have profound disagreements in what it means to be an authentic Christian.

The Catholic or Romans Catholic church did not Exist untill approximatley 300 Years Later When The Roman Emperor Constantine Brought together the Councel of Lycea.
