Thank god Heikki was ok but indeed: not so long ago he would have been crippled or dead. Driving straight into a concrete wall at that speed is lethal, no matter how good the safety of the car is.

Heikki was fortunate. He could easily have lost his legs in this crash! Testament to improved car design and better track safety! 20 years ago, he may not have ever raced again.

I was so frustrated they didnt show the rescue on TV. I want to see that! i wanna see the bodylanguage of the rescue marshalls. you dont have to zoom all the way (because he could be dead, i understand) but to show just nothing is so mean. i was so worried about Heikki & i wish i saw live what i saw now on this posting. That is what you wanna see when something serious happenend like this. So happy Heikki wasn't injured.

This would have had people worried - it was very fast and with the marshalls waving frantically it was like a flashback to Ayrton Senna's tragic accident.
