Rangeela Sahib Marhoom also established another milestone in Pakistani film industry by breaking stereotypical image of a filmi hero. When industry was dominated by Chocolate heroes like Waheed Murad, Nadeem, Syed Kamal, Habib (Punjabi films) and Muhammad Ali.

Rangeela made films like Dil Aur Duniya, Diya Aur Tufaan, Kubra Aashiq (Urdu version of Hunchback of Notre Dame) and off course Rangeela, it was difficult in those days but he successfully promoted concept of "Beauty and The Beast".

The Pushto lyrics are from a very beautiful folk song; which when translated mean, "When you go to Peshawar, bring a black shirt for me and also bring three four frsh flowers..."

As you know, Rangeela was originally from Peshawar (Real name Saeed Khan). In spite of being a Punjabi film it broke all populaity records in Pakhtoon Khaw.

@driftingintokyo Thank you for the translation. I believe Rangeela learned Punjabi ( Hindko ) in Peshwar. When I was learning music from Master Feroze Gul, Rangeela was also learning singing. At that time Rangeela was making his living by writing sign boards. In fact the sign of our music school was also painted by him.
