Ummmmmmm..... SMU didn't deserve to be in a bowl? Based on what? I guess the 45-10 ass whipping they put on Nevada (minus 2 starters) was undeserving as well. YOU HAVE TO CONSIDER DESIRE in these bowl games. I won a fortune betting on TCU over USC in the Sun Bowl back in the day. TCU was THRILLED to be in ANY bowl... USC couldn't have cared less about being in El Paso. Think about it. It's EXCITING for small school to be in a Big Game. Big schools in off-bowls don't care! Remember!
