"Dream Deferred" -- does anyone care that the dream has been deferred for law abiding American citizens?!? Why should a lawbreaker get preferential treatment over a law abiding American citizen having to pay out of state tuition. It makes absolutely no sense at all and it's unfair. Anyways. I'm a big supporter of the DREAM Act. Thank God the Democrats took control of Congress, maybe now these deserving students, the majority of whom speak English fluently, have been here since they were small children and have deep connections to our country, will get a chance to attend college and earn a living here.

I'm against general amnesty, but the DREAM Act certainly does not sound like amnesty to me.

I completely agree. I'm a junior in college now, and if the Dream Act does not get passed, all I will have to show for all my hard work is a piece of paper that says I did it. It will definitely be to everyone's advantage to get the Dream Act passed. I agree that general amnesty is not the soulution, economically, but the Dream Act will only put people who worked hard, and are qualified people out in the job market, which will only better our economy.
