@B34tboxx Not really, the basic fundamentals remain the same. There is only two real differences: 1) the "sportier" riding position and 2) more power. Though it shouldn't take too long to get used to.
@shin1300 It feels slightly more vague than going up or down the gears, and traditionally it makes a more discrete sound as neutral is engaged than the other gears. All in all though, before you actually go for a first ride play with the gear selector so then you get the feel where starts neutral and ends.
@eldejalisco20 Yes, it is quite true, since it has enough power to let you go on the highway with little to no problems, and keep you interested, while not biting your head off when you open the throttle.
@DaYamahaRida It's recommended to be in either first or neutral as launching from a stop in a higher gear is harder on the clutch; since you'll have to rev harder as you're working the clutch lever
@Vi3tPh0 You only need to go down to 2nd and do another 1/2 click down so in other words 4th->3rd->2nd-> [1/2 click down] N.
If your trying to do a stop (that isn't rushed at a red light or something) it's recommended to go down all the gears, followed by going 1/2 click up to N.
Thanks again, and all my friends have bikes already so I'm excited to start! Eventually wanna do stunts, that stuff is awesomeeeee! Well, see ya around, keep the videos coming
@Pixcie33 That's pretty cool! I can tell now, group rides are that much more fun when it's you, your friends, and open road. Just remember wear your gear all the time and you'll be good to go! :D
I really like your videos! I'm purchasing my first bike this year, and taking a training course in April. (Its snowing til then where I live) Part 1 and part 2 helped me out a lot, so veryyyyy nice job :)! Checking to see if you have others now.. Thanks :)
@Pixcie33 Thanks! Nice to hear that you're getting into biking and also taking the safety course. It really is going to pay off in the end too. Haha yeah it's still snowing in my area too, hopefully it dies off soon. So cheers to the near riding season :D
i think u did such a wonderful job in this video.... i will be starting the classes soon as well as purchasing my first ninja 250 (used) ...lol im such a diva but i cant wait. you're very informative and i think i just build up my confidence a little bit more because of it....2 THUMBS UP DaJax13....xoxo
@hawryli1234 I'm 6'0 and have medium build --It should fit you fine, my dad's about the same height and was able to sit comfortably on it. Also comes down to your body shape and if you have long legs or not as the seat is fairly high. Best thing to do is to go to a dealership and sit on one. If you are new to biking, I'd advise to stretch you legs a bit as the first few times going on one will ache around the hips.
@hawryli1234 no prob lemme know how it went for you. If it is in fact too small for you try either the ex500r or the ex650r they're also parallel twins that are more usable for beginner-novice rider to learn on, or an advance street rider who wants something with fairly decent performance, reliability, and comfortability.
@DaJaX13 alright thanks man (: this vid actually helped ALOT lol (: ride safe man
