Ruggiero is a seriously powerful athlete - and not just for a woman. I once met her in person and I certain she could easily kick my ass. We were about the same height ( 5'10") , but she's all muscle and super built - I felt like a 98lb weakling standing next to her.

I knew her when I was young, she played at my rink in Pasadena CA. I think she moved to Michigan later on.

There is way...way too much "gear" being worn in this game and it has taken a great deal away from the sport. Get rid of 90% of the crap that is being worn stick a face plate on the goalie and get on with it.
