It´s hard to know what the bosniaks were thinking. First they voted for independence by 99 %, and then they protested in Sarajevo for Yugoslavia… then they went to war without weapons… They simply couldn´t win. They shouldn´t have gone to war at all. The outcome was highly predictable.

But Bosnia is a non-functioning state. The nationalists in Sarajevo don´t give a damn and are still propagating as back in 1992. The view of the population reflects the propaganda. Thus, many bosniaks are still mentally stuck in 1992.

@ Marshall, I think the reason Bosniaks still defend Izetbegovic is because of how negatively the war began for their side. You're right, though, he sacrificed "his own people" to gain power in an unviable state. Even within BiH, he lacked much influence and the only way to change the equation was a war. He had to have known he'd get support. The only way for the international community to support intervention was to let BiH descend into hell for a few years...

The first massacre was against Serb civilians, 26 March 1992 in the village of Sijekovac at Bosanski Brod.

The Serb reactions came after that.

Whichever way you twist it, it was the Muslims that started the war.

And the constant question is: Was it worth it?

Polako vi dvojica, nogu na balun. Time table i fakti. Uzroci i povodi. Rat u Bosni se dogodio zato sto su SVE TRI strane to zeljele. Svaka strana je imala svoga "sponzora" koji ga je uvjeravao da su bas njegove pozicije najbolje i da treba iskoristiti raspad SFRJ kako bi se "ucvrstio","prosirio"....narav­no snabdjeli su ih dobro sa oruzjem,dokaz za to je da su na prvi "Bu" svi imali uniforme "sivene po mjeri". Neposredni povod hvatanja za vrat ove je bila pucnjava na svatove.

JNA nije mogla ni de facto ni de jure napasti vlastitu zemlju. Da o tome izvjestavaju nenaklonjeni izvori za jednu (do dvije) stranu bi se koristio izraz TERORISTI ili PUCISTI. Treca strana je lukavo iskoristila "kontinuitet" kako bi se k njoj slila vecina ljudstva i oruzja nase armije.JNA nije bila srpska vojska. Mnogi oficiri su nastavili borbe kao pripadnici JA,ali su i Hvati i Muslimani oficiri prisli nacionalnim vojskama.

Tacno. 12 maja 1992 je JNA ukinuta i podeljena na VJ i VRS.

Razumem da je Tudjman mislio da moze pobediti. Imao je Nemacku i Austriju uz sebe. Razumem da je Milosevic mislio da moze pobediti. Secesionisti su mu terali JNA pravo u ruke.

Ali nikako ne mogu razumeti kako je Alija mislio. Stvarno ne mogu razumeti. Zato gnjavim o tome.

Osim... ako mozda nije bio toliki religiozni fanatik da je smatrao da ce mu Alah darovati pobedu.

1-Aliju je prevario Franjo. Tada su u BiH bile dvije stuje, jedna je htjela sa Hrvatima protiv Srba, druga sa Srbima, Muhamed Filipovic je tada govorio da je njima mjesto sa Beogrado. Dosao je i Gadafi da pokusa Aliju nagovoriti da ne uzima oruzje.BiH je bila kljucna, da je ona bila za konfederaciju (ili protiv rata) Franjo nije mogao nista jer bi mu Hercegovci ostali van Hrvatske.

2-Hrvati su svim silama nastojali isprovocirati JNA u BiH kako bi pokazali Aliji da mora "uzeti pusku". Kljujic je odigrao veliku ulogu u tome. Bas on je imao snajperiste po zgradama koji su napadali kolone JNA, nadajuci se da ce JNA ubiti Aliju ili nesto slicno.Cuvena je Alijina izjava:"Slusajte Franju i mene.Nije znao da ce mu kasnije Hrati skociti na leda i da ce imati dva fronta.U BiH rat izmedu Hrvata i Srba je bio fiktivan,to danas i Dodik priznaje.
