  • I went to see Hitman at the Cinema when it first came out and I didn't notice the Dark Angel bits until I rewatched the film a couple of weeks ago after rewatching Dark Angel. I was like "what the hell? That's hilarious!". xD

  • My God...that's just plain lazy. I hated the movie anyway. The action wasn't even good..and the storyline was meh.

  • That kinda makes me mad lol cuz I always hoped they would make a movie for DA to wrap things up. I mean what the hell!! Firefly got a movie and it was only what, 14 episodes or so?! And DA was around for longer, had a big following, and we fans got NOTHING!!! I was SO MAD about that lol. Same with series like Heroes and everything, it really irks me when TV series don't get a proper finale, and then to use stock footage in Hitman is like a slap in the face lol.

  • I knew it!! I thought those clips looked familiar.. That is quite cool, reusing old clips, but making a whole new story out of it.. That is almost art..

  • oh man! i got all excited when the movie was starting 'cause i didn't know what it was and all of the sudden this clips of dark angel appeared and i was like.. omg!! they did a movie of dark angel and i didn't even know!!..

    stupid lazy producers! :@

  • in the end of the movie Hitman there is written that they tock footage of DarkAngel

    so what

  • LoL right I was sitting at home and just turned around and see the DA footage and said I thought we were watching Hitman not DA!

  • Yep, was one of the first things I noticed when I started watching the movie. I was like...wait...seen this somewhere before.

    The movie was allright though.

  • me too!

  • FAIL. Oh well, Dark Angel is better 100%.

Silly movie producers. Of COURSE we DA fans would realize the clips were from DA! They should have known better... but at least it wasn't illegal or anything :]

  • Lazy cocksuckers, lol. Was it that hard to come up with your own opening credits?

  • hilarious XD cheap asses ganking a tv series footage, the movie was garbage i had high hopes.

  • lol hitman ..... :( / dark angel :)

  • dark angel was created before hitman^^so james cameron couldm't steal those scenes

  • This is just... craptastic! I just started watching Hitman (i am a fan of the game). The I noticed that chunks of Dark Angel (also a fan) clips are apart of the movie...wtf!?! I was like holy shit there's Max!Whether HM or DA concept was made first doesn't matter. The fact is the recycled footage that was shot for DA and used it in HM....like no one would notice! They could've at least shot something new even it if the idea was the same. Crap!

  • I find it funny that people claim Hitman ripped off Dark Angel when all this crap came from the first game, released before Dark Angel was even in production.

  • Well, Hitman the game was released 2000 and Dark Angel started also in 2000, so who was first? Can you tell who copied from whom exactly? I don't think so...

  • lol you douche, yes you can.

The production of the first Hitman game started in 1998.

The production of Dark Angel started in 1999.

    I assume you can count?

  • Oh and you really know when James Cameron had the idea of Dark Angel? Of course he immediatly started producing it, when he had the idea...

Oh no, he broke into the IO Interactive labs and stole everything, since hitman still wasn't finished in 1999...Come on...

I say they are just accidently similar, but fact is, that they reused scenes in the film and that's what this clip is about...

  • Idiot.

The point is, Cameron didn't do anything with his ideas.

The Hitman concept was out in the world before James Cameron told anybody about his idea for Dark Angel. So shut the fuck up, you clearly do not even understand logic.

  • well actually hitman was written in 1999 and dark angel started filming of episode one in 1998 so if anything da was copied, but still fox owns both.

  • maybe production started in 98 but most games take at least 3 years to make before it is mass produced

  • @TacticaLGS You are the dumbest person that uses youtube. How does that make you feel.

  • There is also a coupel of books by James Patterson called 'When the Wind Blows' and 'The Lake House', that follow a girl called Max who escaped from a government lab when she was young. The books were written in the early 1990s. She didn't have a barcode and had wings, but still, uncanny similarity or other?

  • Actually HM did rip DA off. This video is about virtually all the scenes in the Hitman movie being taken directly from the DA pilot episode. I didn't see many similarities between DA and HM beyond that barcode. Some more similarities do exist.

  • @TacticaLGS: If you continue to insult other people I'm going to block you. You are free to discuss everything, but stop calling others idots etc...

As you maybe already recognized I deleted your last comment...

  • it really annoys me that they did that i mean couldnt they of at least used some clips with out the barcodes on their necks !

  • the director of that bad movie is inspired by dark angel to produce that sequence, does not mean that the creators of hitman the game(of who I am very fan)they created to hitman copyng to dark angel.ademas the creators of hitman say they were inspired by nikita the assassin of that tv program

  • Tattooed bar codes behind neck = Dark Angel..

Tattooed bar codes behind head = Hitman...

    hmm?

  • the director of that bad movie is inspired by dark angel to produce that sequence, does not mean that the creators of hitman the game(of who I am very fan)they created to hitman copyng to dark angel.ademas the creators of hitman say they were inspired by nikita the assassin of that tv program

  • The sequence was actually taken straight from the show, as in they used footage from Dark Angel.

  • In dark angel the barcode's are not tattoo's. As Cengelun pointed out they are imbedded into their DNA.

  • Yeah, they messed up the movie a little bit. Even if we assume that Hitman and DA are part of one big story, then why did they add tattoos on the back of the head in Hitman. Also the hitman has to be of the same age as DA according to the beginning, but the hitman acts in 2007 and DA in 2019. Well, as most screenings of comics the movie is below average.

  • yeh its a bit slack of them to do that i reckon

  • The only way I could think they could be related, would be if they were trying to pass off 47 as an earlier proto-type (lower number, and he was the one behind the scope (note they showed the colour of the eye behind the scope) shooting a manticore kid as they escaped... Still doesnt answer the tatoos as all the earlier proto-types, except Joshua had these genetically added.

  • my personal story i choose to fill in here is that hitman is early manticore projects before they start mixing dna, which explains the time difference and also explains why they are tattoing bar codes at htis point they haven't figured out how to make them dna imprinted

  • This movie sucks. Using Dark Angel scenes. Lame

  • Lol, I saw hitman, and was like "no way... thats from dark angel". I knew that series back to front, so it made my day. However, they went no further than that, so i was a bit let down.

  • the kids from the dark angel didn't even know they put the scens in Hitman. They found out by third parties.

  • "based on the IO game "Hitman"?

Yeah right! it has nothin to do wiht it!!!

  • too bad hitman was a game, created far before dark angel, and any comparisons that could be made, incidental

  • Who came first is incidental, they couldn't be bothered/ran out of money to film footage so they just bought footage from another show. It's just lazy that they made it so blatant and has nothing to do with the fact that Hitman: Codename 47 was out first.

  • Actually, Hitman 47 and Dark Angel both premiered in 2000. So, they bought scenes from someone. Who cares.

  • well, the music itself was used already in the hitman games...before dark angel i think

  • Hahah shiiiiit

  • I fucking knew it! It seemed so fimilar in the theater.

  • They were so fucking cheap that they couldn't film their own scenes? They had to steal footage from Dark Angel? Blasphemous!

  • fucking hell! i had no idea!

i just thought that scene was cool!

    Damn you Fox!

  • It's called "Ave Maria". It's a very old song.

  • beautiful! thanks!

  • i loath fox. there aren't enough words to describe my distain for fox. morons. DA forever

  • lol du hättest das video auch kürzen können xD und die ganzen namen rausnehmen können, dann wäre es besser gewesen und man hätte nicht schon die hälfte wieder vergessen ^^

Trotzdem 5 Sterne ^^ sehr gut gemacht :)
