I prefer the Genesis version, mainly because its the one I grew up with ^^
Also, I don't like how the speech and sounds seemed "muffled" in the snes... and that's weird, because Rock n Roll racing had really good speech on the snes, but the speech was horrible on the genesis version.
@XXXBARAKAXXX I don't agree with you, both port were good but the SNES version had a AI bug which caused the game to be much more difficult than it should after the fight against the first character on the leader
That pic you showed is NOT of the PSX version BTW.
I'm pretty impressed with the Genesis version really, I had the SNES version of 1 and 2, but I might have ended up with the Gen version of 3... but I got a Playstation for MK3 instead!
@joystickjedi This video is old, I may upgrade my MK collection video when ill get the missing version. As for the picture, youre right, and I may fix it in the compilation remake
I've only played the Arcade (PS2's Midway Arcade Treasures 2), PS, SNES, GB and Gen.
The Game Boy 1 is the worst 1 of all of those. I especially hated the Shao Kahn fight. It had me getting pissed off and cussing the whole time.
Some things I enjoy about SNES are the Cheat Menus where I can disable blocks, enable unlimited run and enable finishers in all rounds (not just the final).
Overall, PS would have to be my 2nd favorite (behind Arcade) because it's the closest to the Arcade version.
@Nicksolo85 personnaly, for a game boy game ,this is far from a bad one. The playstation and windows 95 are the closest to the arcade (windows 95 being a direct port of the psx version
@Nicksolo85 Me too until recently. As far as I know, there is actually 2 version of MK3 and 2 version of MKTrilogy on the PC. one for the DOS and one for Windows95. There is a video about the comparaison between DOS and 95
Mortal Kombat 3 on the GameBoy only gets honors for being one of the most visually detailed gameboy fighters. Everything else about it is left well enough alone.
@NixonTech2071 I Personally think that Mortal Kombat 1 for the Game Boy was the most detailled Game Boy game of its era (Althought Mortal Kombat 3's Graphic were also excellent and the gameplay was superior
I could tell you that my favorite one is the SNES version because ive grew with and because the fatality are unintentionnaly hilarous compared to the arcade version
My favorite MK will be always the first one because of nolstagia back at the time and very good gameplay. It is also fun to see how MK has evolved from the first and how some tradition were kept on the sequel
I gotta say after playing most of these I enjoy the Playstation version the best, it is the most true to the arcade and when you put it on easy it stays easy lol.
I prefer the Genesis version, mainly because its the one I grew up with ^^

@SuperDave341 I didn't know MK3 was for Windows 95.
I have never ever played a PC Mortal Kombat, just consoles and handhelds (Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance in particular).
