We(Turkey) dont hate Islam, absolutely NOT! We are 100% Muslim and proud of it! But we have our own ideals. Nobody on this clip says that Islam must be stopped, they only say that Turkey must not turn into Iran! Fucking hell, do people actually want to change into Iran! People say that Turkey is anti-Muslim but forget that WE are the safest, most democratic, richest Muslim country in the world with 99.8% practicin Islam. So where is the oppression?
this video is total nonsense, cheap islamist/Bushist propaganda, nobody is forbidden to practice their religion, go and see , mosques everywhere full of people... but we do not want to be the fucking Talibans, you don't wear a hijab in some places so what's the big deal ?
Turkey is evolving toward a clear Islamist country. Within 10 or 15 years Turkey will be a second Iran. We don't like the Evropean culture. We like only Islam. Before 1914, abb 30 % of the population of actual Turkey was Christian, but we killed the Armenians and we expelled the Greeks, because they tried to stop our enlighted path toward a Pure Islamic State, as preached by Muhammad (PUHB) and all the great Islamic scholars. Allah Akbar !
turks just contradict themselves. Turks rose because of islam and fell when they got corrupt and power sunk into their heads. i used to love turkey, but now, i realize how disgusting they can be with this secularism nonsense. They have a huge inferiority complex. They're turkic race but think they're white, drinking alochol and eating pork! Such a shame, such rich and beautiful islamic culture on a waste on these people. I'm not saying become like Saudi Arabia and put burka on every woman mind u
i don't know if you have been to turkey or not, but as a non-turkish muslim who has been to turkey i can tell you that as far as average citizen is concerned, turkey is more islamic than many so called islamic countries. so don't worry about turkey, inshallah islam is strong and well in turkey.
it's just the secular anti muslim minority who is the influential, rich backed by Europe and Israel who controls the wealth and military. There is no democracy in Turkey, anyone agaisnt secularism or agaisnt that evil Ataturk is thrown in jail. Turkey is just like the Taliban, but only on the opposite side of the pole! Just imagine, by law Turks are required to put a picture of Ataturk (a drunk womanizer) in every Mosque, otherwise it's jail!
If that it is true it is one sickes thing to hear I dont doubt that Atturk was (a drunk womernizer but put him in a mosque I agree that th earthquake was a sign from god
@shnizzlelillylex No none of that is true, Turkey's literacy rate increased after the secular revolution, women could now go to schools and have jobs, and religion had less of an influence on the country's politics, just look at all the arab countries... they became colonies of European powers after ww1, but Turkey became it's own, self-reliant independant state.
@easternshock no actually you're wrong. none of that is true
Turkey's literacy rate decreased during and after the secular revolution, it only increased after the election and rise of the islamist and AK party. women couldn't go to schools or have jobs because secularism forced them to abandon hijab and islam and become whores, it was only after islamist and AK party rose did they offer women jobs and schools away from prostitution, not the secularist revolution
@ass711 First of all, you have not studied history well, You should know that the literacy rate of the Ottomans was around 5%. After the revolution arabic alphabet was obsolete because arabic does not have the vowels neccesary to pronounce turkish, and Latin was symbolic of modernization. You keep saying that AKP is on the rise, this is false, as every year their % of votes decreases and they lose more territory. No one in my family wears hijab and there are no whores in my family.
@easternshock first of all, you have not studied history well. you should know that the literacy rate of the WHOLE ottoman empire was 5% (including egypt, iraq, hijaz, balkans etc.) and the 5% refers to the ottomans who could read and write in modern turkish (with latin westernized words), not ottoman turkish so when ataturk tried to increase the literacy rate with westernized turkish alphabet, he assumed that those who spoke ottoman turkish were iliterate, and were declared illiterate
@easternshock the reason why arabic does not have the vowels necessary to pronounce turkish was because those vowels DID NOT EXIST, they were invented and created by ataturk to 'modernize' turkey furthermore they didn't use the arabic alphabet they used characters based off of arabic alphabet, so much of the ottoman turkish characters were not same as arabic alphabet in fact many new ones were created by ottomans hence why it had more alphabets than arabic.
@easternshock why was latin symbolic of modernization? because it was imported from west? is it because turks surrendered their own culture to import western culture? thats not modernization, thats WESTOXIFICATION. yes AKP lost votes and thats because they're not islamic enough and is not meeting the demands of voters to bring islamic law and courts to the country, also because they're not suceeding in joining EU which is demands of most turks, and is being buddy with israel (like you said).
@easternshock yes i'll take your word for it, no one in your family wears hijab or is a whore, however your family IS NOT the representation of the average secular family. and by whore meaning that they sell their body for money or show off their body parts for the intention of men to see, thats being a whore. there are plenty of families in turkey (yours in the one or two exception) that have its women nt wearing hijab and being whores as their night job (just check brothels in turkey, plenty).
@ass711 I've been visiting Turkey for the past 7 years and I must say, Turkey has awesome nightlife! Much better than even in the U.S. where I live! Bars, clubs, concerts, all kinds of attractions, even for families. Life would be boring without such attractions, anyways the question that I ask all muslims is this: Why do not men wear hijab? Why only women? If you tell me that men aren't looked on upon with lust, this is not true because there are millions of gays. So, do YOU wear hijab?
@ass711 Finally, Turkish culture is very powerful, even today after so many purges. If you ever go to Turkey or even watch films taking place there, you will see that Turkey is a country deeply-rooted in tradition. From evil eyes to sazs, hamams, cuisine, architecture, etc... (eastern Turkey is anything but westernized!)
@easternshock religion may have had less of an influence on politics but it is slowly regaining and being reinstated in the forefront of politics due to rise of AK and other islamist parties. the result of arab countries during and after colonies of europeans was a result of arab nationalism not islam or islamism, much of the islamist parties are rising because they're offering charities, education, hospitals, and helping the downtrodden and poor.
@ass711 The AKP has destroyed Turkey. 1) They have made Turkey completely dependant on foreign countries economicaly 2) They have sold EVERY factory and port in Turkey to westerners 3) They have put the entire country into debt 4) They have aided Israel in every way possible, for example most agricultural necessities such as seeds, fertilizer and pesticides are imported from israel. AKP is the farthest party from islam, what true muslims would enslave their people to those such as the israelis?
@easternshock AKP has destroyed turkey but not in the way you said, 1) its not dependent on foreign countries, it trades more vigorously and is involved in free trade 2) western companies but factories but factory but workers are turks, just like how western telemarketing companies hires indians to do job and take calls, its called OUTSOURCING and is a great way to increase a country's economy) 3) debt was in turkey for decades, when it was under rule of secular parties and secular military rule
@easternshock 4) they have aided israel through economical terms (i.e. trading, investing, etc.), but militarily and politically they have been hostile, (i.e. erdogan critisizing Peres, halting joing military exercises with israel, aiding flotilla and critisizing israel's response, etc.) what you have said about resources from israel proves my point, turkey-israel realtions is still economically good, but other relations have gone sour, (cont)
@ass711 Evets such as Davos and the flotilla were pre-planned to act as tools of propaganda to win the support of the Turkish people. Why didnt Erdogan send another Flotilla backed by the Navy? Because it would harm relations with Israel. Why did Erdogan only say "van minut" (1 minute) in Davos after Palestine was bombed? He should have done much more. It is like telling a murderer that what he did was wrong, but not taking any disciplinary measure in punishing him.
@easternshock (cont) and it happens often between two countries, USSR and USA were ideologically and politically, militarily hostile however in economical terms they traded (i.e. wheat grains from starving ukranians in USSR given to america, american machines given to USSR), same was the case with india and pakistan during and after independence of the 2 countries, and their 3 subsequent wars, or with india and china, japan and china, japan and south korea.
@ass711 AKP really has destroyed Turkey, in the way that it has completely undermined the country's future economically. (No ports, no factories, no farms, only 1 bank, are owned by Turkey's government or Turkish individuals). Israel is Turkey's best friend. They have a millitary alliance. Erdogan lashes out at Israel for his own publicity, however in reality, israel is all he has. If he was really against Israel, he would discontinue most relations with it.
@easternshock even north and south korea (bitter enemies almost at war) often trades with each other despite being hostile. AKP is definitely far from islam, they preace secular pragmatism with islam, which is disgusting. however they are not farther from the secular republicans of turkey, or the communists in turkey, those parties are far from islam (just a note AK party does not claim to be an islamist party. its opponents accuse it to be, its only that some people of the party are islamic)
@ass711 Ataturk was Macedonian, not truly Turk, 95% of people in Turkey aren't ethnically Turkish, they are either Greeks, Armenians, Macedonians, CIrcassians, Lazs, various Anatolian groups, etc. AT the time the lower classes of Turkey were known as "Turks", so Ataturk found it best to use that name to unify the people.
@ass711 The founder of akp were former members of several islamic parties (such as Saadet Parti). Any ways, this is behind us now as the tide has turned and the left is growing faster than ever since it is using AKP as a great danger and allowing the people of Turkey to form a national-front against AKP by supporting CHP. Im a sympathizer to the TKP, but even I would vote for the CHP, because of this great threat.
@easternshock turkey didn't become self reliant or independent, it relied and depended heavily on europeans and westerners to import western and european culture (ie. european women taught turkish girls how to dress and behave european), it didn't have it's own independent or separate culture like those of indonesia or malaysia, but it imported culture from western (european + american) countries, it also beought military equipment and training from western nations, joined nato (western)...
@ass711 In Ataturk's time, it truley was self-reliant economically. Turkey's dependancy started with Inonu, because of fear of a Nazi invasion by the Germans (WW2). Turkey also feared a Soviet invasion by Stalin, so it was forced to become part of the English-American sphere of influence. If it was not for the Secular revolution and modernization of the entire People's republic, then Turkey would have been a downtrodden, backwards country such as Yemen.
@easternshock if turkey feared soviet invasion by stalin (turkey and ussr share small border) turkey could have sided with the communist bloc, india did and it didnt get invaded or turned communist by influence, the fear of an invasion is an absurd claim and simply not true.the reason why turkey joined the English-American sphere of influence is because they love western culture and hate traditional turkish culture (their new culture was based off of western culture).
@ass711 Fear of invasion was also fear of communism, because Soviet invasion meant forced communism. India is a country thousands of miles away from the USSR, colonized by imperialist western forces. Also with its massive populations and extremely backwards traditions, it was nearly impossible to force India to adopt communism.
@easternshock If it was not for the Secular revolution and modernization of the entire People's republic, turkey would have been turkey and have been proud to be islamic and turk, instead of being ashamed of being turkish and muslim while importing western culture.
@ass711 Inonu was Ataturk's friend, they were both radical revolutionaries at the time. The people who joined the Turkish Army (during the war of indep.) had to first defect from the Ottoman Army. The Sultan even organized an Islamic army to fight Ataturk, which is where most Islamists joined. Thus, the soldiers of Ataturk's armies knew they were fighting both the Greeks and the islamic army.
@easternshock ...and ataturk was a well known agent of the west, imported by the british and french to extinguish islam and traditional turkish culture
@ass711 And this response I find the funniest, because Ataturk commanded the armies which fought the British and Greeks while Inonu commanded the armies fighting the French and the islamic rebels. They did want to extinguish islam, and were greatly succesul in creating a foundation for Turks such as I today, however they did not want to extinguish traditional turkish culture, in fact they did the opposite! They got rid of persian and arab words, and replaced them with ancient turkish words.
@easternshock And this response I find the funniest, if inonu commanded the armies fighting the islamic rebels, he should have commanded them to fight the people in ataturk's national assembly and government, because most people there were islamic and supported the caliphate. it wasnt until AFTER the war of independence was over and AFTER ataturk had control of entire country did he start the secularization of the country. (cont)
@easternshock most turks fighting for independence then thought they were fighting for islam and turkey, not a secular unislamic one, infact thats how the leaders (commanders, generals) motivated them and riled them up, by saying that they were fighting for regaining the ottoman empire back and saving turkey and islam. when ataturk took control of turkey, he showed his true kaffir face and started deislamizing turkey,
@easternshock many of those who supported him were purged and executed from the government and military because they were deemed to islamic and thus a threat to the secular republic, this is similar to the infamous purges of the soviet union where stalin purged many from the military and government because he deemed them not enough communist and a threat to the state, stalin and ataturk aren't really much different, they were both DICTATORS.
@easternshock ancient turkish words aren't in latin script, most turks came from northern part of central asia and the ancient language there was similar (if not too different) to mongolian script, ataturk should have introduced the ancient turkish script similar to mongolian if he was a true turk, instead he was a kaffir westernizer who imported western culture into turkey which was not turkish at all, he westoxified turkish culture, so today turks have no culture to be proud of.
p.s. ataturk should have also commanded turks to convert to tengriism since that was the ancient religion of turks, that would have shown his true intention of bringing turks back to 'true' turkish culture
don't these secular people think about future....turkish history is all about Islam its not going to change n they r tryin to change turkish futur...its really pathetic just to get in the european union ...they will do any thin ...its like they are not proud of wht they r ...i wonder those beautifull mosques, artitecture, caligraphy....will not be in the future of turkey if it stays like that
it looks like turkey is been taken over by none muslims...i am a pakistani muslim..n i use to like turkey n its history what turkish muslims have done ....n whts happenin right now is just outrageous....im proud of these turkish muslim women who are standin up of this opression

@easternshock ...and ataturk was a well known agent of the west, imported by the british and french to extinguish islam and traditional turkish culture
ass711 1 year ago

@easternshock most turks fighting for independence then thought they were fighting for islam and turkey, not a secular unislamic one, infact thats how the leaders (commanders, generals) motivated them and riled them up, by saying that they were fighting for regaining the ottoman empire back and saving turkey and islam. when ataturk took control of turkey, he showed his true kaffir face and started deislamizing turkey,
ass711 1 year ago

@easternshock
p.s. ataturk should have also commanded turks to convert to tengriism since that was the ancient religion of turks, that would have shown his true intention of bringing turks back to 'true' turkish culture
