I had D.I.D due to abuse as a child. As ive recovered memories of the abuse ive recovered memories from what i believe was a previous life aswell. Sounds crazy, but very true.

Reminds me of that Star Trek TNG episode where Picard is struck by a beam from a deep space probe whilst on the bridge and finds himself living out a complete life (wife, family and all, until his own death) on the surface of a planet which he later discovers was destroyed in a cataclysm in the past.

Although Picard is unconscious only briefly he realises that the probe has transmitted this information into his mind and made him the custodian of the history of that race by proxy.
