  • and where did u get yr marshall logo for the front

  • @Beltmaker09 marshallampparts

  • @guitarz04 dott comm

  • @Beltmaker09 to mount the logo,it has pegs on the back of it,i drilled holes in my wooden mounting plate i made to match up with the logo and glued the pegs into the plate through the grill cloth.

  • question what is the name of this song and who signs it thanks

  • @Beltmaker09 the artists are listed on the bottom right of the videos on you tube, just below the view stats

  • @guitarz04 cool tune, I know nothing about them, but it has a very 'The Band' type sound to it to me. Nice job on the cab, might be easier to buy as you said, but these days I think your cab is most assuredly better quality than Marshall's. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.

    Don

  • looks factory good job thumbs up

  • I LOL'd to death at the end with his advice: "Go and buy one."

  • hahahahah, "My advice, go buy one." For $800, i'd say the same. A nice 1960a Lead would be nice.

  • $800? That's why you use Eminence speakers.

  • after this time, are you satisfied with the spray covering used, or do you wish you'd gone with a vinyl. Good idea btw, thumbs up for originality . . .

  • A pro job !!!

  • How did you spend 800 bucks???? The stuff is not that much...

  • @gbdrumer speaker cost included

  • @guitarz04 But still I have seen celestion 30s for a lot cheaper. Less then $400 I'm pretty sure

  • @gbdrumer you wont find any decent baltic birch cabinet loaded with 4 celestion vintage 30's for that price, ive seen vintage 30 cabinets on ebay made of press board that are cheap.the speakers alone will cost 400-600.

  • @guitarz04 Yeah that was my bad I was thinking about other celstion speakers but the 30's are like 135 a pop so thats $540 so you spent around $200 on everything else? I'm not challenging you I'm just curious

  • @guitarz04 Hey, I'm sorry, but I think that with $800 you can buy an original Marshall 1960, isn't it?

  • @galego111 Also, really great cab, Congrats!

  • when you wouldn't tell us that its homemade than i would truely believe that it's an original marshall cab!

  • If I do build a cab, I'll round over the sharp edges for sure -- but I think I'll use my own router, thanks.

  • @UncleBurney oooooooooooo k

  • Where did you get the speakers from? PLEASE ANSWER!!!! ;D

  • @MeetyHam ebay

  • @guitarz04 Thankyouu :D, COuld I ask how to connected all 4 speakers to the Marshall Head?

  • @MeetyHam they are wired together, has to be done a certain way or one speaker will be louder than the others, then they are connected to a female 1/4" jack that is mounted to a hole i drilled into the back of the cabinet

  • @guitarz04 Right did you get the jack off ebay as well?

  • @MeetyHam no theres a website that sells marshall parts, you can get the corner pieces, wheels, the marshall plastic logo etc

  • @MeetyHam no theres a website that sells marshall parts, you can get the corner pieces, wheels, the marshall plastic logo etc its , guitar (dash) parts dot com i cant type the website as it is here for some reason

  • @guitarz04 Right ok, You know how you said the drilled a hole, do you put something on that hole to connect the wires on to?

  • @MeetyHam yes a female 1/4" jack,the jack mounts to a marshall speaker plate

  • I like the advice at the end...go buy one.

  • I watched this video and took your idea and bought truck bed liner spray paint at Autozone...I had a speaker cab that was dinged up so I cleaned it up a little and sprayed over the tolex...

It looks brand new...Now when I move it around I'm not affraid of ripping the tolex any more, the cab is ding and scratch resistant.

Thanks for this excelent idea it was easier than replacing the tolex....No glue needed

  • @JBL8863 awesome glad you got something out of this! peace.

  • nice work

  • Dude may i ask what kind of paint did you used. thnx. nice job.

  • @axlpro its an epoxy type coating on the ouside and inside, the same stuff used for truck box spray in liners, its tough, durable, waterproof,it was about the same cost as vinyl covering and i just used black flat spray paint on the front baffle

  • ahahah "my advice go buy one" ahah

  • Looks brilliant. :) Good effort.

  • Hi. I have a 1960A/B plans in a .pdf i found somewhere... The only thing I'm missing is the baffle inset.... How far is it from the baffle to the front edge? It would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

  • @StupidSpoge my marshall factory cabinet has a 1" bottom inset and a 2" top inset on the "B" cabinet since it is angled.I put mine straight up and down,i used a 2" inset,i dont think it really matters,i just liked the way it looked straight up and down.

  • @guitarz04

    Thank you so much, man!

  • Why buy one as opposed to build one if you've got the time and skills? A new Vintage 30 loaded Marshall costs about $800 or more but the construction isn't the same.

  • @Supertzar999 true, but this was alot more work than i thought it would be,if you love, and i mean love working with wood and building stuff then go for it,but i personally would not do it again.Another idea is to just beef up a marshall cab such as replacing the cheap particle back board.

  • @guitarz04 I've got a couple Marshall cabs that I've thought about beefing up. The angled one is used and I luckily got a good price for it... loaded with g12m's and paid $550 total. How much of a difference in tone does it make to replace the back covers?

  • @Supertzar999 im not really sure if it would make a noticable difference,i just thought i may as well use baltic birch all the way through. All i know is this cabinet with the celestion vintage 30's sounds great.

  • I have to ask but did you put the t nuts on the inside of the cabinet?

Also did you use Birch for the Back Board?

Marshall uses cheap particular board. They are now all made in China.

  • @41point2 the T nuts go on the front of the baffle,i painted them black so they wouldnt show up through the speaker mesh/cover.I used baltic birch for the back of the cabinet as well, the downside is this thing is very heavy.

  • great job, i really admire people like you, get in there and figure it out so theres no questions in the future.

  • LOL - my advice: go buy one! That was good ;)

  • lol good job anyways!

  • wow 800 $ that good dude and awesome clean work ;)

  • awesome man
