be sure to tell winrar to cascade its menu so instead of like 5 different icons you end up with a single menu labeled winrar that has all the actions in another menu

you uninstalled winzip? Or just removed it's folder entire from your context menu?

Well obviously you won't be able to

"'send to..' anything into a zip folder."

Re-install winzip and it will auto add itself back to your context menu, if you want a alternative you can get 7zip.
