Super Nintendo hands down wins... I had them both and I always thought that Mega-Drive games were just 16 bit NES type games. The SNES took video games to the next level in terms of gameplay and not graphics like the Mega-Drive did.

I got my Super Nintendo at a good will for $5.99. Came with no cables, no power, no controllers. But it was in almost mint condition, i say almost, because it had just a little grime on it, and its power connector was damaged; but still functional. It was a good deal, especially since its in such great condition being how old it was and where I got it.

you cannot compare a snes to a genesis, street fighter 2 turbo, donkey kong country 1,2 and 3, killer instinct, a link to the past, secret of mana, super mario world 1 + 2 , fzero, starfox, super punch out plus about another 20 games. There isnt a single game on the genesis that comes close

@waluigithecool2 I had both. Honestly, the Genesis got more play for its many great multiplayer games. The SNES was primarily used for single player games, Zelda, Earthbound, etc. Thats how I used 'em, anyway.

@Karatenerd5 I'm also a Nintendo nerd in middle school. I say get an SNES. Not only does the SNES have better games, but NES's are prone to failure. I have an NES 2. They work way better, but are more expensive. In addition, NES games get remade and rereleased more often than SNES games. IMO, the SNES is the smarter purchase.
