@o00o00ozy Yeah, it was pretty breezy. This video we were standing on a ridge overlooking the tracks. The problem is there aren't any trees or anything to block the wind.
Nice video. Well done! Interesting for me to note the difference in the size of the load per car between the BNSF train and the UP train. Was the UP train just that much longer, requiring a smaller load per car(there were two DPU's on the UP train)????? Again, well done!
Actually, I'm pretty sure the UP train was empty, it could have been going to one of the mines in the north end of the basin. All of the trains I saw in the basin were very long (100+ cars) and required DPU's. I couldn't tell why some had 1 and some had 2. We did notice that the different mines loaded cars differently, so if one pays close attention, one might be able to tell which train came from which mine by the shape of the coal load.
OMG, you are so right on the UP train. I thought it was only partially full when I first watched, but upon a second review, just shadow and empty. My bad! Still, great video and thanks for responding. Much appreciated!
Nice, love the PRB. Question, how windy is it out there?

The BNSF Coal with the 70MAC In the lead had no problem moving, EMD's re much better hauling coal GE's are the worst in my opinion
