Well, I'll give you kudos for attempting the method. But you CANNOT do corners first for Petrus. Instead of thinking piece-by-piece, you need to think in blocks, which is why it's called a block building method. Without block building, Petrus has no speed and is just another layer-by-layer method, save for the bad edges step.

But yeah... The entire point of Petrus is to use block building and intuitive thinking. Placing pieces one at a time is inefficient, and completely defeats the purpose of the method. I recommend some of the tutorials I have posted, as well as the ones Erik Johnson has made. Him and I are some of the world's fastest Petrus users; he's actually the fastest.
This method is faster but requires more a intuitive thinking process. You have to be creative. If you like to have a consistent and robotic/process-like method I would recommend Fridrich.
