Wow!!! I think people like to go to concert, more than to church.
@cadmiumpureland exactly.....i think I WANNA join the CHURH..and i CAN SEE THE CELEBs..!!! Freee Ticketss...how much you save!!!! haha...F U C K !~ CHRISTS!!!!
and that statement by Jacelyn Tay about church being important and being in "constnat contact" with fellow Christians? Wow that's just... weird. Somehow these people subconciously associate "church" with the physical building and crowds of people. I've often found that the closest, most touching moments where I can clearly hear God's voice are in my room, alone, just meditating on the word of God.
A church is a place where people go to seek, praise and worship God. It is not for self-seeking purposes. It is not for people to seek themselves or their own enjoyment or entertainment. This is not a church but a concert hall.
@CheongStella i think tat it is nothing wrong when people are performing in the church becos God give us talant to perform... we also can inspire other people... :)
@herolwp That's a very simplistic way of thinking. Saying there is nothing wrong with performing in church shows that you have a very on the surface understanding of being a Chrisitian. In what way does performing hip-hop or singing pop songs glorify God? Do you even know the origins of hip-hop or rock? If they danced an interpretive dance to Amazing Grace, or sang Christian songs, that would have bee perfect. But City Harvest is just too.. sigh..
Nothing wrong with an inspiring speech, but it shouldn't be tag conveniently as christianity. If Kong Hee sells tickets for an inspirational talk, he will also quite successful, and not wrong.
Believing in God does not necessarily mean believing in Jesus Christ. I wish that these megachurches would stop ursurping the domain of God for their own sake.
a good basis for a zombie flick ... all mindlessly walking towards a destination .

gives me goosebumps.....the worst thing is using the name of God in vain and usurping his church for our selfish purposes.
