But for others who have seen this show, it's we have been whatching Sheldon's Antics that almost anything he does is funny now, he is such an awkward person that this for most people is halarious. @JoeFox23 it's a studio audience, not a laugh track...the bazinga joke is not overused, it's used a lot, admittedly, but not to the point that it becomes a bad joke...and what's wrong with a catchphrase?? I'll admit, Community is a really good show, but the characters are lame. you can tell that Abed is based pretty heavily off of Sheldon, except in a totally crappy way. I like Community a lot. I like the dynamic between the characters on the show. just not the characters themselves.

@CowardAnimator still, doesn't mean that he can't be based off of more than one person. watch the two shows and tell me you DON'T see the similarities between Sheldon and Abed. both are really intelligent, but at the price of social skills, both are completely obsessed with one particular subject (Abed with movies and TV, Sheldon with Physics), both are clueless around other people, and they both even have VERY similar facial expressions. Danny Pudi's acting was most likely Sheldon-inspired.

Abed is essentially a slightly more sociable Sheldon with a higher voice and an obsession with pop culture rather than "nerd culture" and physics. they deal with different situations, so their personalities and idiosyncrasies are different, but underneath it all, they are very similar characters
