@maldororfiend A little Maiden, a dash of Pink Floyd, and lot of strange brilliance. Heard this for the first time on the "Festival of Fire" Italian bootleg CD, and they've been a favorite band ever since.
I haven't heard many songs by them yet so I could be wrong about this. I've seen a lot of people say that they sound like Sisters of Mercy, I've even heard people say they're a ripoff of SOM but I think it's mostly because McCoy sounds a bit like Eldritch when he sings, other than that FOTN don't sound much like SOM.
please, someone to put ''chord of souls'',please........ihave cd ''the nephilim'',i have it on tape, on vinyl, but i want it and in my computer..please..someone..''the preacher says to all his men, i hear godly lauhter can be the end...'' somebody, please...........sorry about my bad english, i am Greek
ah, yes the victorian and gothic cross-over is there! :) good point.though victorian hats weren't so wide brimmed as the ones tht the lead singer usually wears - though it is a style which was an adaptation from the classic victorian top hat-.but i wasn't associating tht with cowboyishness. it was actually the picture at 0:49, on thefar left the guy is wearing cowboy boots tht made me think of cowboys. still think tht they are not predominantly victorian in their influences.
You've got your blinders on there my friend. It's not coincidental the first track from Dawnrazor was an Ennio Morricone cover from a Once Upon A Time In The West.
When I first heard FOTN, all my friends could tell me was that their fans made human pyramids at their gigs, they dressed like cowboys and dusted themselves with flour, and the drummers name was Nod. I still think they rock and this song is my favourite.
eines der besten alben aller zeiten,hör es schon seit der veröffentlichung.....einfach supergeil!!

Come in from the cold
I'll owe you my heart
Be my shelter and refuge for the night
Love of my life
Pour your light on the faith
I can feel
Make it real
In her sleep

Does anyone else think this song is too short?
Aamonath 1 year ago 2
@Aamonath yup, this one fades out early, the original is longer. iirc.

dont be interest about their clothes..just lyrics and music. sorry about my english
Nahemah27 2 years ago
why not? i see nothing wrong if inspiration comes from lovecraft's tales and spaghetti western.
find it better than a bunch of "socalledgoth" bands coming with pseudovampire pseudolook and stuff like this
mercy3d 2 years ago 2
I just made a comment because the "look" theme is mentioned generally from other users !
