Oh my God this is the best ending ever. Seriously. The song matches the mood and tone and Donnie perfectly. Not to mention Mad World is a fantastic song, soooo....It just makes it perfect.

this is absolutely my favoite movie. i always find myself crying when i watch this scene. After the movie a feel cleansed...so i guess it's like a perspective check for me.

The best part is when Frank rubs his eye. It's so cool how they all almost remember, but not quite. It's like a subconscious feeling somewhere in your gut or deja vu. I've never actually cried in a movie, but at this scene I came pretty damn close. This is possibly the greatest musical sequence ever put to film.

did you know that this was the first time madworld was herd? in donnie darko.. this is a very very sad movie... it made me cry... it was great! i have the movie and i love the story line.....frank is sooooo coooool! but how the heck did he open the portal so he could go back in time? i have been to wikipeedia and saw what the director said and it was messed...
