I love her version. I have heard the original version. Her version is sweet and soothing. I play this song for my child. Her Brasilian pronunciation maybe lacking but her melody is addictive and I think of this song often through my day. I am just happy that she went outside the parameters of US and embraced something new. She is of mixed Hispanic descent & black, not Brazilian. But does that really matter? We're all descendants of Africans and that's where we are bond. That is OUR root.

Milton is the original creator and him alone.
