Apparently lots of people that watched this video are musically ignorant. Kevin Vogrin's comment that now does not show up due to receiving "too many negative votes", is dead on. The intro is not octaves: it's 5th fret of the A string and the 10th fret on the B string, then you slide your pinky from the 10th fret to the 9th and then raise it up to the 9th fret of the G string. Then you repeat moving the root note from 5 to 7 to 9. You figure out the strum pattern though.

At 0:12 , is it an e power chord muted or just the d and a string strummed? I'm trying to tab it off of yours so how correct do you think you are?

@xonlyxthexreflection I'm playing 0-2-2-x-x-x on this video muted but since i recorded this I have started to play a F#5 instead (2-4-4-x-x-x). I'm pretty sure it's wrong compared to frank and ray's playing because Ray plays this melody part and also the bass notes while Frank just plays the bass power chords live. This is a good way of separating the two sections though

@xonlyxthexreflection Because it was recorded with just Ray, he plays the melody and puts the power chord in as a single bass note (this is just in the verse by the way, i think the rest is pretty much right). I play it a different way now to accomodate this and so from 0.15-0.17 in my video, I now play x-5-7-x-10-x (yeah, its a big stretch), then x-5-7-x-9-x, then x-5-7-9-x-x.

@xonlyxthexreflection The bass note (in this example) is the D on the 5th fret of the A string and it shifts up from the 5th fret to the 7th then to the 9th before going down to the 4th before starting over again. This might not make much sense because I've only put it in writing so let me know if you don't understand it and i'll try my best. I'm considering doing another cover video with my new way of playing so let me know if that will help

Good for the most part, you did make a few slip ups but then again I'd probably make twice as many :P I'm learning this on bass (by ear) lol once I got that down I'm gonna learn it on guitar.

The power chords in between the octave slides in the verse riff were wrong. Also there are hammer-ons in the bridge you missed. I'll post a version showing you were they are. Your octaves sounded okay though, you'll need to transition better between them and the power chords. Everything else was alright.

This is totally wrong, one guitar plays both the octaves and bass chords, the stretches are usualy 6-7 frets long using 3-4 fingers for notes.

Saw them play it live way back like 7 years ago, blew me away b/c I knew I would never be able to play it.
