nice i just used hornet to destroy one from behind, dont board at the back there a lump hanging out fire at that then it falls off and u can shoot to power thing form outside the scarab.
It would have been kickass if you would have landed in the turret of that warthog that drove by when you jumped off! Just drive off and the scarab explodes!
first take down one scarab then take over the gauss warthog that is driving around. shoot teh scarabs legs until you have to board it then quikly park the warthog under the belly of the scarab
me and my friend normally get on the same hornet then i get above the scarab and he jumps off then he kills the thing and i fly around back of the scarab as hes jumpin off of it and he lands back on my hornet.... its pretty sick
i Shot at a scarab until the back thing fell off then hit a jump w/ a mongoose and jumped off. The mongoose smacked into the scarabs core and it died.
i can see what he means, when the core is broken, there are big brown worm looking things, they look the same as the back of a hunter. but i think its coincidence dohchicken. as killionair said, johnnson drove one. maybe they'll be a drivable vehicle in halo 4?!
I didn't hear it from somewhere, you can clearly see it. Go to the engine destroy the shields and Voila! the orange worms that are inside of the hunters are weaved in the "power suppy". You can even see them moving.
and Sgt. Johnson only drove the scarab in the second game, and those scarabs are very clearly different models, which require drivers...
yeah i meen logically the heart of the scarab being fully vulnerable is stupid..you think it would be like in the scarab literally or have something guarding it
Is it just me, or ae te Covenant retarded. Why oh why would you place a Critical piece of the Scarab on the OUTSIDE of the machine? And why make it so easily destroyed? They must have decided that the Master Chief needed a chance of winning.

Cool. I shot it with a scorpion in the back and boosted a ghost into it. Jumped out in the midair and survived. Spartans throw down real badazz.

you dont have the time to do that on this map. When you goes down to the big field, or starts driving the Hornet the scarabs will come down!
