  • I want this video on my S296+ unit.

  • Jonathan Livingston Seagull ....Fly Jonathan

  • Great stuff! Congratulations to Neil Diamond, Lee Holdridge and you!

  • I think Phil Donahue said it, and it's true, Neil Diamond is the poet of our times.

  • Not surprised he won a high award a month ago,and was honoured by the President of the USA. Congrats my friend!

  • Your video is a favorite on Kingston

  • I HATE THIS BOOK

JONATHAN LIVINGTION SEAGULL WILL BURN IN HELL

  • jonathans best flying record!!!! "214 miles per HOUR" 214miles/hour

  • One where the album outsold the movie!!!!!!!

  • This is music at the highest level. Neil is a living Johnathan! Why it takes such a long time for the panel to decide his induction ino the Hall of Fame?

  • i love the movie, i love the music i like all (the music) of Neil Diamond

  • When art transcends... there is nothing greater or less than an expression of existence felt at the most fundamental level. Such a magnificent piece. As a teenager, I saved my hard-earned money to buy this piece of genius (Neil Diamond's genius). It is an investment in my humanity & absolute adoration & respect for the planet earth & the genius of existence I will not, and do not wish to, forget. This whole album is... well, perfection. My greatest respect to Neil Diamond!

  • One truly amazing movie, with fantastic music. One of my favourites when growing up and finding myself. Greetings from Denmark!

  • Buyuleyici bir ses, mest oldum, sevgili Marti Jonathan Livingston seni seviyoruz, izindeyiz:)) greetings from Istanbul, Turkey

  • Fantástico- Tony Santos -Melbourne -Austrális

  • I've the soundtrack on CD

  • Maravilhoso.

  • maravilhoso -- Jaime- Portugal

  • Outlaw1257, thank you for bringing to attention Lee Holdridge's accomplishments. He should be applauded for his contribution!

  • This story fit in well at the time it was made, in the late 60's-early 70's. It was part of the "positive thinking" movement of the time. "Positive thinking" made sense in an era when the US dominated the world economically. People all over the world were buying our products, so we tended to see no limits to our potential as persons. And I suppose it's comforting to think that if someone else is a failure, it's his own fault. In 2011, that worldview no longer makes sense.

  • For me this is the definition of beauty in it's purest form.

  • this film puts everything into perspective and makes me feel that no matter how hard life gets or how hard others make it that are friends or even closer to you or how distant you feel from people that just do not listen, just hear, there is nothing to worry about as long as you listen to yourself and never stop beliving in yourself then good will come from it. This film and story are so powerful and an eye opener to show you how beautiful life is and the world around it just be strong

  • Quelle merveille et que de souvenirs!

  • Jonathan always reminds me we can do ANYTHING just as long as we put oure mind and heart to it

  • Heavenly!!!!!!!

  • the most profoundly gut wrenching music...I feel privileged to be listening to this great musician...

  • If you want to be happy, find out what you love most of all. Throw into this love with courage, perseverance and the maximum determination. The reward for your efforts you will be condemned and the exclusion of your friends and loved ones. However, if you refuse to give up, if you survive the loneliness and the tight hold of your love, you find that you have new friends, new family, that your values and shared ideals. With them fly farther and higher than you can imagine.

  • Fantastic!

  • If he poops on your head its good luck. (wink)

  • My radio.

  • absolute magic

  • Neil is a poet with this music...One of the greatest composers of our times

  • Neil Diamond never get's the credit he deserves as a song writer. He truly is one of the best.

  • @heapsah1 Let us also remember that the musical genius of Lee Holdridge, who was the arranger and conductor, shines through here as well, with the same beauty of Neil Diamond, Richard Bach, and Jonathan.

  • @heapsah1 "Neil Diamond never get's the credit he deserves as a song writer. He truly is one of the best."

***Actually, Neil Diamond won the Grammy Award in 1973 for Best Instrumental Composition Written Specifically For A Motion Picture or for Television, ("Jonathan Livingston Seagull") He was also admitted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1984.

  • @Outlaw1257 While Neil Diamond's works in JLS were most laudable, in my opinion, Lee Holdridge, the arranger and conductor has never received the credit that he deserves, nor has his orchestra. While highly respected in professional circles, his name is unknown to many in the general public. Lee Holdridge is, IMHO, a musical genius in his own rite. His musicians are also primo. It may interest some people to know that he is of Hispanic heritage.

  • @heapsah1

  • @heapsah1

  • Superb video.... NEIL DIAMOND...HE'S THE ' MASTER...! !

  • Richard Bach's book was beautifully interpreted, and both the music as well as the lyrics are awesome.

  • This is an INCREDIBLE video matched to one of the most suberb movie music ever!

    Thank you so much!

  • Stay Human!

    Be!

    Let it Be!

    Imagine!

  • The whole album is a work of art. It won the Grammy for Soundtrack of the Year for the movie.

  • *****

  • Dear father

  • the novel was nice, but with pictures and musics, it is one of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen.

  • Simply stunning... I remember playing this piece in my school band,... But watching this video really puts it in the right place... Gorgeous

  • I love it...just speechless...it's wonderful! :-)

DANKUWEL !!

  • Sad that music from this album is hardly heard anywhere. I was lucky to be at a Neil Diamond concert right after this album was released....hardly anyone realized what it was until after the whole intro.....I was screatching and the people I went with had no clue why!

What a great album, what a great book

  • fantastic! I really envy you! It´s just plain beautiful - the great music, the movie and the velvet voice of Neil Diamond....

it´s music made for all eternity!!!

  • สุนทรีย์มาก สงบ สบาย นึกถึงคนที่ คิดลึก

  • Thanks!

  • When I was a kid I used to look into my brother's stuff, one day I found this record (yes a Long Play record) so I played it and I got angaged with the music... very much long time after I was living far from home, wasn't a kid anymore... one day a friend of mine played it on a cd and i was gonig on very dificult time with no certain future and when i heared I just went back years and years... now i'm grown up person with children and everytime I have a problem I just listen this music... magic!

  • Jonathan loves skill and precision. Worship precision with all thy heart and all thy mind and all thy soul, and then you are able to worship thy neigbour as thyself. See also the Castaneda early books like Journey to Ixtlan and others.

Many suppose God is powerful, but God is weaker than the weakest force in the universe -- and yet God sustains the universe.

  • Forgot about Casteneda writings....haven't read them for many years

  • Beautiful and touching. Thank you so much.

  • excellent. thanks so much for sharing it. i'm not sure which is more powerful nature or music but so glad we are free to have these in our lives...

  • Beautiful indeed! 5**** and fav!

  • Der Film ist wunderschön und empfehlenswert.

  • this is the most beautiful video ever sent to me.....it gives peace and tranquility combined with striving...absolutely lovely.

  • My Father gave me this book and Illusions which was from the same author I believe. He use to play this alblum when I was a young boy. I loved to sit and listen to it for hours, I"ll never get tired of it.

  • anyone read the book?,its about trying to reach perfection by trying and never giving in,too better ones self

  • I read it about 20 years ago and Still one of my favourite books! Please :) read all of Richard Bach's books!! They are of the kind that stays with you!!

  • I watched and listened to this in 1977. This inspired me then and still does. Thank you for posting this!

  • Compassion also to all non-humans.

Compassion like not to kill, not to keep, not to experiment with them.

    this film transfers this message:

    prevent any live against harm.

  • We are all born as seagulls, yet, like Johnathon, we too, have the potential to fly with the wings of eagles.

  • @smacker57

i feel like committing suicide when i hear this soudntrack record

  • @st3037 Feeling is fine. Doing is not.

  • I am very impressed.

  • If anyone can be totally unfeeling at the scenes from 5.08 to 6.00--and the solitary figure of Jonathan finding his way across the sand----well--------

In truth, this whole album and the accompanying cd/book,are something rather special in this "modern world" of ours'----

    So very lovely.

    K xxxx
