  • So this is what Drew Brees does on his spare time when he's not QBing the New Orleans Saints :O

  • How to get porkchop: Hit a pig with a stick (Anything is possible to use) and get some coal and cook it in a furnace TADA Cooked porkchop :D

  • I was bored and just typed "pork chops"

  • What is Steve Carrell doing cooking???

  • @Horus21jock hunger?

  • So simple and delicious!

  • Oh well, those store bought eggs still come from chickens.

How many sponsors do you have in this video? LOL

  • 4:11

"And right here, this is a realllllly special homemade condiment. This is green tomatoe chutney. and uh a guy who lives *whistle* I dont know, two miles as the crow flies..."

    HAHAHAHHAHA.

  • Now go hide them behind walls in Dracula's castle.

  • This guy sounds like Bob Odenkirk.

  • i love how american recipes online look like an infomercial. matter-a-factly sure of what they're presenting even though the quality is basically if-ish.

  • lol wow ! i tried this recipe and the taste is fuckin epic :D even if i didnt use eggs xd

  • i dont got bread crumbs can i just use flour ?

  • i just tried this recipe and i loved it! delicious!!! the best part is that my home does not smell like fried food! thanks dude.

  • Entire family Loves It!!

  • Why is the flour needed?

  • im going to try this method of cooking my pork chops..looks yummy

  • im so gonna try it yummy

  • oh and i suppose your pork is from a free range pig? if those have the most propensity for disease and worms

  • @jogmas12 I use a special computer that reads everything to me and keep my eyes closed to the world most of the day. I only have the energy to do things for about 3 hours a day. I gave it my best shot. And you have the unmitigated audacity to call me a "bum, sponging off the government". How dare you. I wish every day I could be back in the work force, able to contribute my share, but no. I am forced to live this life handed to me. I hope to God that you don't go through what I did.

  • When you are on a disability pension and live on $12k a year, organic and farm raised is not an option. But, thanks for trying.

  • @MonkeyManBlues

Well most people aren't bums sponging off the government so this was a hit for us middle class folks.

  • @ApartmentViews I had written a big diatribe about your comment, but it won't change your mind. All I can say is God bless you and I hope you're happy.

  • @MonkeyManBlues

If you explained that you weren't some bum sponging off of the government, of course it would have. But as it is, you are (or seem to be) and that is just terribly pitiful.

  • @ApartmentViews I contracted fast onset bacterial meningitis 11 years ago. I almost died. I did lose the vast majority of my eyesight, among other things. I have no vision in my right eye and 20/600 vision in my left with no peripheral vision. It was 2 weeks before I was to audition for my PhD. I tried working several different jobs for 7 years after that. Braving out almost daily migraines, throwing up from the pain. Having no life out side of work because of the exhaustion and pain.

  • @MonkeyManBlues

Well I'm very sorry to learn that and apologize for my rude assumption. It was unfair. Your sarcastic, "but, thanks for trying" just rubbed me the wrong way. Though perhaps I read it with the wrong tone in my head. Anyway, I really do hope you regain better health and comfort each day. God bless.

  • @ApartmentViews The "Thanks for trying" was sincere. It's a great video. I was looking for a recipe, but couldn't afford the ingredients. I accept your apology and wish you the best in life. God bless.

  • I tried using popped popcorn in a blender and used it as a substitute for bread crumbs. It turned out nice.

  • I didn't know Drew Brees cooked...

  • Can u please stop with this organic , u need these special eggs shit. The recipe is a good and simple recipe excluding the "save the world but not really ingredients". You would get the same if not better end results with store brought items.

  • @kingtone7 maybe you should do some research on organic dairy products vs. dairy that comes from cows injected with Posilac...eating organic has nothing to do with "save the world" but maybe you just like ingesting pus with your milk.

  • lol .. i put too much butter and it went all wet. then the crubs started to stick onto the PAN.. BLARG

  • One of the best videos I have seen in a while, Thanks, My Husband is going to eat good tonight.

  • That's a lot easier than a recipe featured on Cooks Country! I'm gonna make it tonight.

  • Wow.. Your pork chop so sexy done... Love it .

  • How so you season the pork? Just salt and pepper?

    Thanks!

    and you are cute >w<

  • Why would you feel the need too add breadcrumbs to the Chops, they are better treated like a steak, Oil and seasoned before added to a hot pan, sealed on both sides cooked for about 10 mins in total and then allowed to rest for 5 minutes.

  • personally i just sear them in a hot pan, and then just fire them into the oven to finish, for a few minutes. this is good too.

  • hmmm.. thank you for video!

  • Tnx

  • i tried this recipe but i used cracker crumbs instead of bread crumbs, they were delicious!

  • I use biscuik with my special selections of spices...Have you tried this before? do you like it? please respond thankyou! I learned it from my parents...

  • Olive oil does not raise the smoke point of butter. That's retarded.

  • make sure its good and wet ;) bahahah

  • Nice recipe.

So you cook them on low?

    I have an electric stove.

So how long on each side on a electric oven on low.

I guess I should just keep checking...

I'm not sure, but low on an electric stove will take more than an hour.

By the way, the reason you have so many requests about frying chops is that most chops you get from your local grocery store really suck.

I think most people want to know if it's their fault why the chops they pan fry suck.

  • You also can do it this way:Season the Meat/Poultry the way you like and than spread on both sides very thin with mayonaise. Than coath the Meat/Poultry in a mixture of Bread crubs and Flour and fry it in Oil and Butter until is done.

  • Cultured butter??? Hmmmmmm I suppose that would be very well educated butter that came from a well reared cow. Hhahaha What a dork

  • my pork chops are cooking right now but are way thicker then those how much longer should I leave them in? I guess I'll have to figure that right now... hope they come out done in the inside...

  • I REFUSE TO BUY LOCAL AND ORGANIC KEITH!!! rawr

  • Great Recipe!

  • Pan Fried? What do you expect us to fry it in. A paper bag?

  • @liuzhou deep fry?

  • @irbenson I tend to deep fry in a pan, too.

  • @liuzhou If he didn't put "pan fried" in the title then you wouldn't know that it was actually pan fried without actually watching the vid

    weeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • @FreedomFighterReturn In the OLD testament!! Where have you been.. Jesus came and saved us now all the NEW testament applies!

  • The green tomato stuff is not green lol. please, I don't want to hear where you got the stuff from.. we don't have the same farm/store. ty you didn't say what temperature to cook them at.

  • This is delicious!!! You my friend should be on tv. :D

  • those and carmelized onions would be my last meal

  • you don't want to buy store bought eggs, but you will by store bought milk? No dairy farms in your area?

  • @FreedomFighterReturn there's always one.. the bible is written by people and that particular part by some vegeterian low life. if we shouldn't eat the pig, why the fuck is it made of meat and tastes so good then??

  • I fucking hate pork chops! They taste like plastic!

  • Yikes, that's some horrible breading! You didn't coat it enough in egg, so parts of the pork weren't even breaded, and the bread crumbs weren't sticking on the pork that well either. This is why you do it with your hands, not with tongs - even though it creates a huge mess (but with a partner you'll do fine).

  • Trolling for a baked pork chop recipe on a lazy Sun. morning Keith. Thks for triggering a great method/recipe for pork. I often do Schnitzel with pounded pork leg meat this way - adding thyme & garlic to the meat before breading it.. I now have my focus for tonights chops ! Thanks again !

  • Cheers Chef thanks for recipe. One question, would you recommend baking Pork Chops at all?

  • just made this for the wife and I and it was fantastic, great easy recipe, thanks so much Keith.

  • why drew brees cooking pork?

  • Drew Breese Cooks!!

  • just made it, great recipe

  • you hungry bastards,LOL

  • this gives me a good idea of what to make tonight. thanks :)

  • store bought stuff! Sshhhhh.....

Now I'm hungry good job... Hey but wait I've heard of people using crackers like Ritz on chicken, you think this would work with pork chops?

  • I just use flower, salt, and peper & and dip it in eggs & milk

  • I tried this tonight. I cook my meals the night before so I can have lunch ready for work tomorrow. I tried it and almost burnt my coating because i had the stove on 6. I had a little sample of it to make sure it still tasted fine. I'm sure it will be good. Thank you for this recipe and this was my first time cooking pork. Plus my pork chops were small since it's only me to feed.

  • Create your favorite dishes from your favorite restaurants...Chili's, Red Lobster, Outback Steakhouse...all from home! - youtube.com/watch?v=6ktnVmKZXOo

  • this guy for real any twat cud do that

  • Reminds me of schnitzel.

  • an egg is an egg. also, I don't taste the differents in organic. Organic just cost more, save your money and don't buy organic products. It's not better for you, that's just a myth. I guess people have so many different backgrounds and cook the samethings different. Nevertheless it looks good and I will try it your way too. But damn the organic products!

  • @TOPCOO 'It's not better for you, that's just a myth.'

It's not the nutritional value that is greater in organic food. It's the fact that the chickens are not feed pesticides in their food, or hormones to make them bigger. I like not eating chicken and eggs that aren't filled with poison and fake hormones, and that's not a myth.

  • A red wine reduction would be good with that!

Saute a diced shallot with some tarragon ,1/2 cup port red wine and a squirt of honey. Reduce for about 5 min.or so...Good stuff!

  • you not cooking

  • guy who lives two miles as the crow flys....... I might steal that saying. Nice and easy recipe. Thanx : )

  • PORKCHOP SANDWICHES!

  • @thundergattiv1 OH SHIT!

  • @wolfgar45

GET THE F*CK OUT OF HERE!

  • @thundergattiv1 my god, did that smell good.

  • This is pretty good! =)

  • I really liked your video... you make it seem so simple that anyone can cook!

    Thank you for doing this!

  • i cooked smaller ones than those at low heat with oil about 5 mins on each side. were they too raw?

  • what's half n half?

  • @anirudhkrishnamani cream usually people put in their morning coffee.

    10%

  • @anirudhkrishnamani 50% heavy cream & 50% milk, hence half & half.

  • thanx for the upload

  • Thanks for taking your time to share. It is common sense to subsitute some ingredients for (regulars) at a local store; it's not science! Personally, I don't like peope whose critics are not constructive. IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING GOOD TO SAY, THEN IS BETTER NOT TO SAY ANYTHING.

  • What are you talking about with the eggs... do who has a chicken in their back yard in the city? And yes of course you do it in order. Who would put the bread crumbs first then the egg...dumb ass. And stop telling us to buy this that are only in YOUR local market and not yours.

  • hehe hes trashing starbucks

  • no, its store bought. i thought the same too =P

  • Too much work, try flour simple salt and pepper or whatever spices you like, toss in a paper bag and fry in oil. Simple, easy, and taste great

  • what if you dont have eggs, i was wondering if theres ever any alternative

  • you go buy some eggs

  • lol, smart ass i kno, i aske for an alternative. need a dictionary?

  • buy substitute eggs

  • @BiggestOfDaddies..yea he didnt ask for a solution for not having eggs are you stupid or something?

  • @newzonerz Clearly you're stupid because that's exactly what he asked for. You're bother morons because what kind of substitute can be made for eggs, other than egg substitute? At best, in rare occassions, an avocado can be used to replace egg, but given the circumstances of this dish, it's unlikely that an avocado would bring a desired flavor. So, in short, I was responding to a ludicrous questions with an equally ludicrous statement. So fuck off.

  • i wouldn't like to taste your scrambled eggs dude...friggin hippies think you can change the world with your veggie burgers and shit

  • @newzonerz I'm neither a hippie, nor a vegetarian. You suck at this.

  • I want to use that pan instead of mine =(

  • Sorry but the best way to make Pork Chops is on a B.B.Q!

If you don't have a B.B.Q., marinate them in VEGETABLE OIL not olive oil (Olive oil isn't good when frying) and add Balsamic Vinegar in the mix. Sprinkle Garlic Salt, Black Peppers, Oregano, Basil, and Steak Spices on the Pork Chops. Then when cooking in the oven or on a B.B.Q. add a liquified solution of B.B.Q. sauce (Just add a little water and mix).

  • Olive oil is just fine when pan frying. It is not a good oil for deep frying, but for pan frying or sauteeing it works quite well.

  • wtf?

  • Keith, what kind of pan were you using? Also, my wife won't use non-stick cookware so it's non-coated cast and heavy stainless. Easy to deglaze the stainless, but the cast is a pain even cleaning it Altons way! Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Danny

  • Thanks Chef... Pastor Mike in Atlanta

  • Thanks Chef... something i can do for the upcoming Christmas Holiday!!!

  • Comment removed

  • you can't just put the chops right into the pan? do you have to put the the flour and all that stuff?

  • I know I'll just screw it up somehow.

The heat won't be right. The oil level won't be right. The flour or egg or breadcrumbs won't stick right. It won't cook all the way through if I'm lucky enough to see a nice golden outside.

Blargh, looks like Spaghetti with sauce and hamburger again tonight.

  • it's a really simple dish to cook

i like to serve it with a tomato basil and some roasted garlic topping with motzerella and parmesian

  • i like when you say: a little lazy today...but...that's the situation.. that's cute and funny

  • ya..truthful too

    keith

  • thanks for this

  • your welcome

    keith

  • Thanks, Chef, this was a hit with my family and so easy. I think my chops were a bit too thick because I had to get them a little over-cooked on the outside to cook them all the way through, but they still tasted great. How thick are the chops in your video?

  • 3/4 of an inch....also, use very low heat..and chops that are room temp..this way the middle cooks as well...what you described is a common problem...let them warm up 30 minutes laying on a plate ...then use low flame

    best

    keith

  • Yes, they were right out of the fridge. I'll try the warm-up period and lower heat next time (which will be soon by request). Thanks again for the video recipe. It was so simply and clearly explained I was able to watch it once and know what to do.

  • next time wash your hands after breaking an egg because you don't want your appliances ad food infested with seminela lol that's waht i did in my cupcake video

  • cool..let me know how it came out..start a discussion at Harvest Eating...

    Keith

  • hes great except at 3:58, if you move the meat while it cooks it's less likely to cook evenly, the best way to pan-sear meat is to not fuss with it until you flip it over

  • It would be so nice if all you children would go out behind the barn and talk that way. The grownups are actually trying to talk about something, and personally, I found out that there were more than 2 words in the vocabulary back around 1956.

  • @atticsfull

My mother was born in 1956. You ain't got no pancake mix.

  • My mom use to make orange juice pork chops they were pretty good.

  • cool video i try the recipe and it taste awesome!!!!

he should have his own resturant

  • "Although scientists have isolated and identified several virulent disease-causing parasites in poison-animal (pork), they are still at a loss in understanding how the parasites circumvent the immune system, and launch an extended assault on the poison-animal eater's (pork) life. Such an assault is characterized by the parasites' invasion of nearly every organ in the body, including the brain." from the book PERILS OF EATING POISON-ANIMAL: HOW EATING PORK DESTROYS THE EATER BY K. A. MUHAMMAD

  • Go back to your desert.

  • I've been told that normal (instead of extra vierge) olive oil, or sunfloweroil is even better (when working with high temperature).

  • thanks keith. i'm going to try this recipe tonight for dinner, looks great.

  • Hey keith great video man. Love how you keep everything as fresh and healthy as possible. Nice post.
